Looking for cheap IPv6 only VPSes

I want to run some authoritative DNS servers and as most DNS servers support IPv6 by now, I think I can save a pretty penny by going IPv6 only.
Anyone has recommendations?

    More than a penny actually:

    Gullo's Hosting (OpenVZ) — $3.50 / year
    1 Intel Cores (shared)
    128 MB RAM
    2 GB HDD
    125 GB/month bandwidth
    0.1 Gbps port speed
    IPv4 (NAT) + IPv6
    Hosted in U.S.A.

    Or KVM, pay per month:

    HostBrr (KVM) — $1.44 / month
    1 Ryzen Cores (shared)
    1024 MB RAM
    15 GB NVMe
    2500 GB/month bandwidth
    1.0 Gbps port speed
    IPv6
    Hosted in Germany

Is that safe to do? Do most public IPv4 resolvers support delegating to an IPv6 NS? I have no data or experience to support it, but my gut feeling is that it'll cause problems for at least some IPv4 users.

  • @fzorb If you just want to try things out, c-servers are the cheapest i know. I have the cheapest one from them and I haven't had any problems. Aff, if you'd like to help.

    384 RAM, 15 GB NVMe, 1 Gbps, IPv4 (NAT) + IPv6 --- $4.49/yr

    1GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe, 1 Gbps, IPv4 (NAT) + IPv6 --- $9.99/yr

I had a website with ipv6 only nameservers some time ago, I don't remember exactly but I was pleasantly surprised at how many public recursors support IPv6. Those that didn't were mostly ISP servers (anybody uses such?)

The best solution would be to have 1 IPv4 enabled NS

Scaleway Stardust is 0.5€ / mo in each of the 3 locations available, pretty nice specs too

    scaleway ,old name is online.net
    their 1core cpu 1G memory only ipv6 vps in PARIS 、AMSTERDAM 、WARSAW
    bandwith is 100Mbps
    only 0.2-0.3 eur per month

only ipv6 vps is hard to use
github is not supported ipv6,you maybe use dns64 or warp proxy to download something from it
