512MB KVM

Hey there! I'm looking for a 512MB RAM box for VPN. Price must be MONTHLY. I'd need an IPv4, preferably not NAT, and some kind of good uplink. Budget is 2EUR/mo.

Thanks in advance!

If you'll pay yearly, we'll hook you up in any of our four POPs. https://incognet.io/kvm-vps

    We'll do the 512MB plan for 24Eur/YR

IPv4/IPv6, 5Gbps connectivity, 10TB of transfer per month.

    This is a monthly KVM:

    AlphaVPS — €2.50 / month
    1 Intel Cores (shared)
    512 MB RAM
    128 GB HDD
    500 GB/month bandwidth
    1.0 Gbps port speed
    IPv4 + IPv6
    Hosted in Germany

And this is yearly, just in case:

    RareCloud — €9.50 / yearly
    1 Intel Cores (shared)
    768 MB RAM
    15 GB NVMe
    1024 GB/month bandwidth
    1.0 Gbps port speed
    IPv4 + IPv6
Hosted in U.S.A. (also in Europe)

    Dedicated IPv4 for either.

https://skhron.eu/ is pretty good, IPv4 isn't included by default though, but even with it you're still well under 2EUR/mo in their Stockholm PoP.

Anyway, the provided password doesn't work. Reset at panel, shutdown and restart does the trick.

That space though... Might be able to squeeze in some apps to make it worthwhile for an IE location.

Up the order PID +1 for a 1G version at 12/y.

Any thoughts about why storage is so low? I use a lot of low-end servers but usually it allows me to use about full offered storage minus some.

Feeling like a noob here :)

From this you should be able to run fdisk in interactive mode, delete the partition and add it back with the same start and press enter for size to use all the size, which is 10GB as expected. Don't forget to change the partition type back to 83 before writing it back to disk. Also make absolutely sure the start sector is correct.

When you quit, do another fdisk -l to verify it's written correctly. In theory fdisk should trigger the OS to re-read the GPT but it used to not work properly about 15 years ago so I always reboot anyway.

Then resize2fs /dev/vda1 should resize the partition to match the new size. In increase in size should be possible while mounted r/w, but if not log in as root via vnc and do it in single-user mode.

    Hello @apostolosk

While we might be slightly above your initial budget at $5.99/month (or $3.99/month with yearly billing), we prioritize security and include features often lacking in cheaper VPS offerings.

1 GB RAM (double your requested 512MB)
    2 vCPUs
    25 GB Storage
    250 GB Bandwidth

This includes DDoS protection, advanced firewall rules, regular security updates, etc. We also use enterprise-grade hardware, SSD storage, etc., to ensure optimal performance.

Are you looking for a specific location for your VPN server?

We have options available, and we'd be happy to discuss which would be the best fit for your needs.
