Need really cheap vps for traffic usage.

I am doing some home lab setup with TailScale and I need a really really cheap vps to act as an exit node in this SDN setup.

Requirements: Located in the UK with unlimited traffic (or a fair amount for traffic), more than 0.5gb ram, and no cpu or disk requirements as it is for traffic only. Need to be as cheap as possible, less than 5 pound / 6 USD per year if possible. Thanks.

    Per year

  • good luck with your budget.

  • are you okay with ipv6 only or nat v4? and honestly even then it's gonna be a struggle.

  • I don't see anything in the UK for $6.

    Meanwhile In Ireland:

    ColoCrossing — $10 / year
    1 Intel Cores (shared)
    1024 MB RAM
    25 GB SSD
    20480 GB/month bandwidth
    1.0 Gbps port speed
    IPv4
    Hosted in Ireland

    Hope this helps.

Oracle free tier in London will net you 10TB. Otherwise, good luck with the budget.

Scaleway is around 6 EUR/yr, IPv6 only (if you don't care about IPv4) and unlimited bandwidth, but they only have locations in Paris, Amsterdam and Warsaw.

nat is fine, as long as traffic are out through ipv4

I’m currently using that but the speed is low, around 50Mbps

Even on ARM? Those ones should have >1Gbps

Yes. Have been running for 2 years + and I can remember it is at 1Gbps when vm is created. Don't know what happened there.

    Just checked my ARM instance:
