Since 2001, new registrants for second-level domain names have been required to be United States–affiliated institutions of higher education.

Last time I had checked, EDU was a US-Only thing (like the .US TLD)
Options include joining an online school or becoming the founder of the South Harmon Institute of Technology

If you can get your school to comply with US accrediting agency, you might get a shot.
or get an edu.pl but I dunno it might be suitable for your needs or not
.edu domain names are usually only available to educational institutions. If you are an educational institution, you can apply through a registrar such as EDUCAUSE, and you usually need to provide relevant proof. If you are not an educational institution, it is unlikely that you can directly register a .edu domain name.
.sch.id is very cheap
.sch.id need legal documents to obtain.
.edu is very powerfull
If you’re after just the perks, why not register a regular domain and contact the “perk” provider to make your domain acceptable? I’ve noticed that many of them require additional verification despite having an email ending with .edu (GitHub Student Pack, for example).
If you're truly an admin of a school (which I highly doubt) you'll need to establish an American branch for your institution first, then submit an application. There are no workarounds here, an .edu domain isn’t something you find in the trash for $0.99 with no conditions.
Anyway you should be able to get a .edu.xx domain.
A long shot, but it is a free edu subdomain if it works.
https://is.edu
I don't think their form works, and it might be intentional because it has been mentioned on blackhat forums several times.
But you could try to contact them via the email address on their contact page.
(Please share the drama here on LET if they scam you)
Invalid captcha. The form won't get submitted. Project is probably abandoned.
it does work, dont ask how i know

get another degree.
Register your school's domain with the groups offering perks..
My previous school, the student email domain works for the benefits. Many that have student benefits also have a 'contact us if your school's domain isn't accepted.
On the plus side, the EDU TLD also seems to require the school to basically provide a LOT of information about the students for the discount programs that non-EDU domains don't.
I never thought to check if the website existed..
It is a movie that isn't available for 'streaming' so it isn't surprising that people didn't get the reference..
I can easily supply document for .sch.id. In fact I manage a lot of sch.id domain. But not anyone would approve .sch.id as a valid domain for educational institution, contrary to .edu domain.
Technically, you need to be registered in the US to apply for a .edu domain.
The UK uses .ac.uk for example.
Some older registrations benefited from less rules.
Alternatively, if it's just for discounts etc. you can buy .edu email accounts.
Did you already try .ac.id?
Works well for me to obtain student perks - google, microsoft, github, etc.
Your own domain ?
I don't manage any university website.
Our campus domain. > @yokowasis said:
Ah, I see bro.
As I know most of the above need additional documents for the student pack, not only the edu domain, curious how could that be done without the documents?
Is it enough to shows student ID of said university ?
Does that domain get you educational offer benefits? Like does edu.pl work where just .edu works?
Can you give some examples?
My previous school has a .ca domain and it is approved as an educational institution and student discounts are/were valid through the email addresses.
You don't need a domain from the EDU TLD to achieve your goal.
