[Question] OVH Server Transfer

I was planning to move one of my ovh server to different account for security reasons. My question is, If I transfer my server to my other ovh account. The data on my server will remain there? OR it will be deleted?

  • I haven't tried this myself because I don't have multiple accounts with OVH. However, I have transferred servers in the past. On one occasion, the recipient mentioned they could see the operating system I had installed, so I think OVH don't wipe the disks when you transfer. This makes sense, as one use case for changing the contacts (also known as transfer) is to retain the administrative role while temporarily delegating the technical role to someone else.

    Thanked by 1Wolf
  • Everything will be just fine.

Thank you. That's what exactly I was thinking.
