tunnelbroker.ch closing down?

Just found tunnelbroker.ch is redirecting to securebit.ch. So it means they're closing down the free 6to4 tunnel?

My BGP tunnel to them has been downed.

  • strange situation. Author doesn't respond, no notice, nothing.
Before total redirecting, there was redirect only on /prefix page.
Service probably works, eg 2a09:4c0:aee0:10b::2 is alive tunnel.

Why in the past tense? As if something happened to them?

They raised price of BGP tunnel from $0 to $500, and blocked most of VirmAche from TunnelBroker.net.

I see. Old tunnels are still for free, it seems.

    Edit.
    * Regular non-BGP tunnels will continue to be offered freely though this service.

    1) Due to abuse a lot of the IPv6 space gets blocked.

    2) Local ISPs are finally offering IPv6 services.

Yeah, but there's no "RIP" situation as some might interpret from the "HE.net was the best. Nothings can replace them! Sadly." post I was commenting on. HE Tunnelbroker free service is still available.

Currently announcing a /48 v6 BGP through a SIT tunnel with them. No bandwith restrictions.

Appreciate that, I like to keep up with other brokers in case HE gets tired of me.

I was saying about BGP tunnels, was a solid and a good service back in a days. HE.net still offer that 6to4 tunnels.
