What vps storage provider should i go with?

I was planning of buying a storage server from @Francisco (BuyVM) using LV RYZEN KVM 1GB + LV Block Storage Slab - 1TB ($3.50 + $5 = $8.50/mo) or LV RYZEN KVM 2GB ($7 + 5 = $12/mo). I already own a LV 1GB server to use with adguard home and nginx as a reverse proxy.

My second option would be buying the storage vps from @crunchbits but both locations Allentown, PA and Spokane, WA shows it's out of stock. (Spokane, WA loc for memory optimized (Lineup) does shows it's in stock but Allentown, PA is out of stock including Bal and CPU Optimized for the Lineups). (i was looking at the Build-a-VPS and not Storage vps. Just checked storage vps and it's out of stock...)

Third option would be Hetzner but im not sure if i should go with Hetzner storage boxes or Hetzner storage share.

The 4th would be OVH Kimsufi servers.. The only reason why im asking this since i am going to host nginx, wireguard, nextcloud, and neko (it's like similar to ksam) and other projects. I just want to move away from Contabo. Idk if i should go with BuyVM or chrunchbits or Hetzner or OVH. Anyways here is the specs that i need:

  • KVM (i don't need/want LXC and OpenVZ is gay)
  • CPU: AMD (EPYC) or Ryzen that has AVX2 (1c @ 3-4Ghz is preferred but more vcores is fine)
  • Ram: 1-4GB (i don't need alot.)
  • Disk Space: Between 1-5TB of storage to use with nextcloud (SSD, NVME for boot works fine)
  • Disk type: HDD, SSD, NVME

  • BW: 1Gbps up/down (at least like 10/20TB or less is fine) or unmerged (like capped at 100Mbps or 250Mbps+ for unlimited BW).

  • Port Speed:1Gbps/1Gbps

  • DDoS Protection: Maybe? idk

  • Number of IP: Just 1

  • Location: SJC, SFO, LAX, Las Vegas, WA, Texas, anywhere in canada or europe works too.

  • Budget: between $5-20/mo or Quarterly/Semi-Annually or Annually (i just want to have a server for more then a year or two like for backups n such)

  • Billing period: Monthly/Quarterly or Yearly

Thanks,
Fubuki

There are two kinds of products which IMO do not even need pondering or a thread.

Mail -> just go MXroute / @jar (if NA location is acceptable which with email it basically always is)
storage -> just go @host_c (if Europe location is acceptable)

    Done.

Oh, and btw Xeon scalable has AVX2 too.

For storage (in Europe) I would recommend @host_c (only Intel Xeon though and I don't know whether they have something in stock at the moment) and @layer7 (they have Xeon/Epyc and Ryzen, https://layer7.net/cloud-server, you can basically add HDD to any VPS there).

There's a lot of carte blanche in those specs. What about this:

    Layer7 — €8.30 / month
    2 Epyc Cores (dedicated)
    8192 MB RAM
    1024 GB HDD
    51200 GB/month bandwidth
    1.0 Gbps port speed
    IPv4 + IPv6
    Hosted in France

I already have a server from him a year ago. Uptimes are like a hit or miss. But other just means any other hosting providers.

I already have a mail server from Namecrane for $20/3Yrs. I can check MXroute in the future if I have a domain I really use but atm I only use 1 personal .network domain and my other domains are just idle sleeping. (Idk if I could use MXroute as a relay/backup mail server in case Namecrane goes down)

For @host_c and @layer7 I can check later today and in the near future to buy for future backups and such but I'm short on money ATM so I'm fine right now with having a crunchbits server from @sh97 . Thanks everyone! Now I have to transfer files from my contabo server to my crunchbits server using rclone. And then cancel the monthly subscription from contabo.

    Or maybe this:

    ServaRica — $5.00 / month
    2 Intel Cores (shared)
    2048 MB RAM
    2048 GB HDD
    12288 GB/month bandwidth
    1.0 Gbps port speed
    IPv4 + IPv6
    Hosted in Canada
