How important is a brand name to you?

Does anyone else ever see a post by a provider and just think "That's a decent offer... but what a stupid name"?

I won't name any examples, but sometimes I just get the impression that it's the kind of name I might have come up with when I was a teenager, or they just went with the first thing they thought of. Screams young, inexperienced owner/summer host.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

  • Product/ service/ price matters.

Brand name is just one of the smallest/ least significant factors for me.

  • But yeah, you ought to name the brand to make sure people think along same lines.

Well I have no intention of ever starting a hosting company so it's hardly relevant

the more you buy, the more deadpools you suffer from, the more discerning you'll be so yeah i agree. but track record is better than name

A name may be stupid but a price is good. A price is more important.

I still have a hard time believing Webhostface is a serious company.

Name is important, at least in the first impression.

The funny thing about baboon hosting was that their logo wasn't a baboon.

It's not the name in itself that's important, but the fact that the brand can be trusted (i.e. stable / serious / good track record).

Brand name and reputation is everything. I’am writing this when sipping coca cola.

The brand name is the most important feature of the current business world for businessman. It can be anything, but it must be well-known and popular.
