EasyVM - lots of network connectivity issues - support was non-responsive
Ended up leaving EasyVM because my host had persistent network issues (NJ data center) which support was unable to diagnose and resolve. Frankly, it would take support days to reply to me and usually with a Question I had already answered in my last note. It got so frustrating I ended up doing a migration off to a different provider. No longer can I recommend them despite them being quite inexpensive. (you get what you pay for???)

Hello dear valued customar,
Tank you for sharing your experiences with us or whatever
As for me, I am not an EasyVM customar because their VMs don't have at least 70% cpu steal! This is very dealbreaker for me ok.

Hello,
We have only received reports of issues in our Dallas location but they were resolved with the help of some customers. If you could direct message me your ticket ID I'd be happy to take a look.
Hi @aqua
What about Ticket #177907 regarding adding an SSD to the server? The invoice has been paid starting Saturday 14 December 2024. However, until today there is no clarity.
I have a high priority ticket on EasyVM that I have not received a reply on since last Thursday.
Are you all getting replies after posting here?
Same thing. Getting ignored pretty much. Texas network has been shitting itself for weeks.

The VPS network at EASYVM's Dallas location also has some issues, but I’ve set it idle now until it gets fixed! The ticket responses are a bit slow, but I haven’t rushed them.
I also have a Dallas vps. I thought my server got hacked somehow since in 3 days it used almost 500Gb of bandwidth... I set it up freshly yesterday and only setup docker + my own discord bot which is pretty much idle and the traffic keeps going up. No clue why I'm getting "taxed" for this bandwidth that's not even used by my own vps.
Seems like they won't reply by checking the posts above. At least it's only $6/year...
We've been investigating this internally regarding the abysmal performance of our Dallas network. With the mix of the complexity of this occurrence + our head network engineer's tight schedule (active military), it has been rough. If you are near your bandwidth limit, PLEASE open a ticket, we will uncap your limit with no issues.
We are not attempting to inflate your bandwidth usage to penny-pinch you into spending more money with us. We will happily uncap this with no problem.
If you have a ticket open with us, please don't hesitate to PM me the ticket ID and I will provide an update.
Appreciate it. It's not something urgent as I barely use this server but will DM and appreciate the fast response
Hope you guys manage to figure it out eventually!
If you use the
iftop
command to check, you may know the cause of some abnormal bandwidth consumption, but you don't know how it was generated.@aqua I have a dedi with easyvm at the Virginia datacenter. It's a 1gbit line to the dedi server.
however, my transfer speeds to the server have been restricted to 1mb/sec (whereas they should be 125mb/sec based on 1gbit). I am very far below the BW allotment.
I sent in a high priority ticket last week and no one has replied to help explain what's going on.
Can you please help with ticket #076504 ?
@aqua haven't heard from you and I added an update to my ticket. Please help to fix ASAP.

There is SERIOUS throttling going on at the Ashburn VA server. I shared my results from running iperf3 tests.
Here in L.A., I'm only getting 10Mbit/sec transfers to EasyVM Ashburn, VA whether I use multi-threaded transfers or single transfers, compared to +400mbit/sec (avg) to my Buffalo NY VPS.
When I use my VPS (Buffalo, NY) to EasyVM (Ashburn, VA) -- both at datacenters and much closer in distance -- it's also only getting 10.1 Mbit/sec as shown in the logs that I attached to the ticket-
[SUM] 0.00-20.05 sec 24.0 MBytes 10.1 Mbits/sec receiver
The network is gigacooked my man, i've seen people with servers at other EasyVM locations (texas, etc) have the exact same issue.
My dedi in VA is also affected, opened a support ticket last Monday and so far have had one response back 5 days later asking if I'm still seeing the issue, responded to that 4 hours later and now it's been nothing again for another 3-4 days
SMH this is horrible. Thanks for sharing your experience as well. I'm evaluating my options at this point. 10Mbps on a "1gigabit" line...
Yeah I've pretty much given up, jumped ship and got a new dedi from a different provider and will be recommending most steer clear of EasyVM for a while.
Network issues on this scale is one thing but then the lack of communication and support is the nail in the coffin
100% agree!
Hi all,
We are still working on resolving these issues, and I sincerely apologize for the current status of EasyVM. To be blunt, we have simply been taking on too much onto our plate with not only EasyVM, but with Parallax aswell. The network problems have been entirely our fault, and not doing preventative planning and maintenance. The current setup can handle just the load of EasyVM, but not both.
I have been out on holiday for the past 3 weeks for my best friends wedding and haven't been able to have full focus on this.
I will be back tomorrow and will be on full force resolving all of current issues, and putting in measures to resolve these issues permanently.
We will be bringing on more team members to help with the significant increase of load we are experiencing.
Will there be a refund / partial refund option for those who have lost faith in the current state of EasyVM and no longer wish to be a customer due to this?
This has fallen on deaf ears at EasyVM. It's clear that they do not value their customers.
In fact, I've seen the quickest response from them when I contacted PayPal to get a refund. They closed my account in less than six hours.
As I have experienced and others mentioned, it usually takes over a week to get a reply to a service ticket ¯(ツ)/¯. @FAT32 heads up on EasyVM
Yup, there has been too many issues with almost no resolution in past 2-3 months.
I strongly feel they are into a downward spiral with slim chance of getting everything together, considering how long this has dragged on.
yup had a ticket with them for over a month, and if they do reply it's typically unhelpful and frustrating.
We have seemed to find the fix for the issues, please let us know if you are still encountering them via ticket.
Still seeing a large amount of traffic on my Dallas VM (with bandwidth mis-calculation) but to their credit, I opened a support case and the bandwidth was uncapped in under ~3 hours (on a weekend).
In an effort to debug whether it was my VM I've run tcptrack on the VM and see a large amount of connections being made.
seems the portal has an invalid captcha key now, making it impossible to login.
Just wanted to note I am having network issues in NY. I can connect to the virtualizer but it won't restart the VPS. I haven't had that many issues in the past
Probably something to do with your service being sold to LevelOneServers without notice.

It seems like you solved all of the issues right?
