Oh yes, for that, I use their official clients, which disables transcoding on the Android box. If I do transcode, it's always 100% CPU usage on the Box with constant buffering.

yeah transcode seems to wreck most of these low end servers. have the same problems iwth mine as well. I had to disable transcode for my end users

Yah, it's not something server-specific CPUs were made for.
