  • You had been offered several times by some providers here but you rejected them, right?
I remember greencloud offered you a job, you had your chance.
maybe you can once more offering webhosting deals, that would be a quick cash for you, or get a life and get a real life job, life is hard.

If you don't mind working on websites relating to adult entertainment and such, please leave me your contact details, or send me an email to [email protected].

My clients are always looking for trusted sysadmins, and experience with scripts like MechBunny (https://mechbunny.com) and KVS (https://kernel-video-sharing.com) can't go amiss, because there are a lot of high-traffic sites running those scripts, and there are very few, if any knowledgeable sysadmins and developers able to support them when they start receiving over 1M/day traffic.

Send me an email... and we can connect on Telegram, and I will start sending simple OS configuration / hardening jobs your way. It really just depends on whether or not you mind adult entertainment websites, as there's always some work to be had. :)

I already have a job, it's just for ADHOC tasks and server administration (monthly plans) too.

Trying to find extra work, that's it.

Brother, no one wants to work for pennies and be treated like a slave. At the very least, it should be $50/mo per server monthly, or $75 per LEMP setup one-time for simple things.

No one wants low hourly rates, etc. Only, good safe money.

  • Any CV or list of skills? How about whmcs modules in php?

Referring to his situation at the time you'd assume he would be happy for any work? If he turned down work in a desperate situation (not enough money to pay rent etc) because he wants more would be pure insanity one might say?

Sure everyone wants to earn more money and be paid what they're worth but going back to the thread it doesnt sound like he was in a position to turn down multiple offers of providers on here offering him paid work

But this was many months ago now maybe he did work for these providers and it was only a short term thing...I'm only guessing

From what I know of most hosts. They are the biggest Scrooge you imagine and pay shit. It’s something of a phenomenon. No matter how big.. they will try to make a buck off of your hard work and act like it’s the market dictating the prices. Nah, bitch, don’t give root to randos and pay them next to nothing.

    Respect the hustle.

No doubt...But if i was in a financial struggle and was offered X work for low end X$ personally id bite that bullet and accept even if it was a temporary thing until my situation improved, however you look at it...in a situation like that X money is better than no money at all

    True
But sometimes that little money offered may not be worthy of the time and effort, if one has something else going on already and simply looking to fill in some gaps.

But I whole heartedly agree, any number > 0 is better.

I will give you a simple example. I live in a super expensive country. Accepting such work wouldn’t help me get anywhere.

I am not here to defend Mike. But, some countries… $20 can save your life… some countries, it won’t make a difference.

This is why we see so much workforce from South East Asia being exploited… bosses are like, they will be happy with anything. Or, “can’t afford to hire locally”. No, you’re just contracting people you never met… people who likely had no options.

I 100% agree but even in an expensive country i would still personally be collecting them 20$ pay cheques whilst looking for something more full time/real pay vs just waiting and hoping for something to pop up and earning 0$ it depends how you value your time...but again putting myself in the position with financial struggles i dont see how earning 0 is an option personally

This isnt relating to Mike or anyone else btw, this is just putting myself in a similar hypothetical situation

Personally, I am not in that situation, thankfully… but I would rather starve than swallow my pride and be exploited digitally. I would sooner go and break rocks — literally. At least, I would feel good and accomplished.

I mean it’s just my 2c. But I hate people who exploit people from countries like that. I pay my designer same money I would pay him if he were from Denmark or Russia. It simply doesn’t matter. The work deserves to be awarded properly.
