    I'm in the same position. I'm looking for a private email service at an affordable price.

    The top three that most people recommend are Proton, Tuta, and Mailbox. I've tried them all except Mailbox. They have similar prices, which are a bit expensive for my taste.

    There's Disroot, which was recommended after those three. It's a non-profit with a donation system.

    You might want to check out the Privacy Guides community, as they're more focused on privacy-related topics.

    I'm currently using iCloud+ because I already subscribe to the $1 plan. It has support aliases with catch-all and Hide My Email (similar to SimpleLogin and Addy). In my experience, it's better than Outlook and Gmail.

    After a year of research, I've found that good privacy and cheap service don't work together, at least for now. Not until there's more competitor to the top 3.

    EDIT: TLDR: Try Disroot, privacy focused with donation.

    two of the four mentioned above are at least politically active. i would be careful.

    as far as i know, jar doesn't care what his customers think.

    @NameCrane is best option

    Nothing against them, but you know this for certain, after the mail product has existed for 9 whole days?

    ...and seems to be powered with knowledge from jar ;)

    It has been in work and testing from a longer period via their shared hosting offering.

  • Thanks for suggestion. But self hosting a mail server is a big headache atleast according to my knowledge!!

    Would have at least made some sense if there was an affiliate link

  • 100% MXroute. Have a think about what you really need in terms of space, 5G lifetime is $75 but the BF small package with 10G is $15/3yr, it'd take 15 years for the lifetime to become a better price per year. Just something to consider.

    when I open the blackfriday mxroute deals, this plan isn't available anymore. @jar will the BF small plan be restocked or the promotion has ended for good? I just found out about mxroute in this thread and the idea seems interesting to me.
