DNS hosting ?

in General
Hello everyone,
I am looking for a place to host a domain with vanity NS. Can anyone recommend one?
This is just for 1 or 2 domains, so I don't want to pay a fortune.
I have tried services like Luadns, EntryDNS, and Cloudns, but they don't allow vanity NS, though they work flawlessly.
I also tried DNSMadeEasy, but it is no longer free.
Currently, I am using Zonomi, which works for vanity NS, but the resource allowance is limited (1 domain and 10 DNS records). If anyone can recommend a service, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

What is vanity NS?
For example
ns1.yourdomain.tld
.DIY with BIND?
Pay for Zonomi? $10/year is not a fortune.
Cloudns allows vanity DNS, I know that for a fact since I've used it before.
If i do it with BIND i have to get 2 ip for 2 NS or just 1 is fine ?
Well i didnt had the option anymore on the free package.
Just get two cheap yearly VPS; and do it yourself? Plenty of guides online, and it's the best option. One in Iceland, one in North America, or something like that.
I think it would cost you like $20 USD altogether for the entire year; hard to beat that, to be honest.
That's your problem... Free package...
Vanity nameservers is a power user feature. Why would anyone give it for free?
Guess ill go that way
thanks
Which power it give you so much ?? i was sure it was just about cloak
For 10$ a years is there a better place with a better UI ? lol
Buy a couple of cheap vms during blackfriday and set up your own dns servers. Use at least 2 different hosts in different DCs and continent.
Install Bind on any vps u have. It's free!
Self hosting seems like an ungodly amount of work, but that's probably because I've never done it before.
Nah, small.learning curve. You'll enjoy it.
Use PowerDns instead. You'll thank me later.
bunny.net?
Frankly this concept of "vanity" NS is pretty unrealistic in today's world. No need for it if cloudflare is doing it for free and no boasting off points for having ur name in the NS. But if one is bent upon creating their own NS then why not. The only logical reason for doing it urself is when e.g. Cloudflare says hey ur volumes r driving us mad, now pay for the dns or go host ur own.
I know it's basically free. I still drag my feet because I don't want to create another billing relationship.
Its also about control. You can do stuff if you selfhost which you could otherwise only do on a paid CF subscription at a much higher expense.
That being said, CF is great. And they do provide vanity dns on their payed tiers. If you can justify the cost, definitely could recommend their payed for subscriptions.
I use a mixture.
Not everyone wants to use Cloudflare, and for example I'll soon switch to own nameservers (using nsd) because I have the servers anyway, it's pretty straightforward to configure, and I won't have to rely on my registrar to be up anymore.
For two domains?
That was something I learnt decades ago.. Separate registrar, NS, and hosting..
Otherwise a disagreement will really f*ck up your week by taking down everything.
Why not? It's easier on the resources, easy to configure.
As it's just 2 domains, I'd also consider maradns.very resource friendly.
For around 15 years I hosted bind. It wud work most of the times but I went mad for the times it just randomly shot itself, died and wudnt start again. Then u always had the chance of misconfiguring it. I think cloudflare is a God send, basically any good free dns. My entire experience around websites and apps has now culminated into a single principle, don't do everything, focus at few things and polish them to perfection.
I'm using free DNS hosting with registrars because it's so easy. You're making me wonder if this is a mistake.
You can get free DNS hosting from dns.he.net.
I really like their interface.. It is built for function and efficiency, not to be pretty.
Thanks everyone for the tip, i guess ill try he.net if not happy ill go with zonomi 10$ years i just hate their UI but i will figure
Check BunnyDNS. First 20 Million request are free. Also, if you are using normal records without their loadbalancing, its 0.1/million requests. They allow vanity nameservers.
Check to see if OctoDNS supports zonomi. You'll never need to see their UI again.
I am perfectly capable of doing my own setup, but I am very happy with bunny host
