The single binary release is only amd64, do you intend to support other platforms with releases as well?

haha yeah I didn't put efforts on supporting other architecture but if there is interest, I can definitely work on it. Which architecture are we talking about ? ARM ?

Yeah, for the oracle arm server :D
Need to compare it to my kimsufi server

Does this service monitor for when outdated or vulnerable packages are installed?

Not yet but that's definitely something that I want to cover.
I want to do it properly though, the best integration I'm thinking about is vuls.io for now, if you think about other tool to integrate security scan let me know πŸ˜‰

Not related but I'm happy to share that fivenines has been "rewarded" 2nd product of the day on uneed πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

Can you extend the promotion for Startup Plan ?

@Outdoor looks like this is an ARM based machine, that's why.

I will make it work soon ;)

Send me your fivenines account email by PM.

@Nacorid @Outdoor I just released the ARM binary, you can setup or update the agent with regular scripts and it should work ;)

@MeltedMembrane I'm starting to work on this security feature. I'm thinking about monitoring packets and kernel versions then send a weekly report with a recap, WDYT ? Any other idea ?

Note related guys, but if you've 5 minutes to kill, could you vote for fivenines on devhunt: https://devhunt.org/tool/fiveninesio, would be greatly appreciated.

Keep it simple but good. Overcrowding your app will introduce bugs. And monitoring app with bugs will loose credibility. Better add windows monitoring, attract the other half of clientele.

    Thanks for the advice :)
But I still need to improve the product to make it better, I'm focusing on keeping it nice, fast and simple to use even with more features.

Windows support could happen at some point but later is better 🀣

I'm the founder of fivenines.io, a Linux server monitoring tool. 😊

To celebrate Black Friday, I've created a special offer (valid until December 2nd): all plans are free for the next few months!

    • Startup Plan (5 monitored servers): Free for 12 months (normally $5/month)
    • Business Plan (10 monitored servers): Free for 6 months (normally $20/month)
    • Enterprise Plan (25 monitored servers): Free for 3 months (normally $50/month)

Sign up before December 2nd to redeem this offer.

Enjoy! If you have any questions, feedbacks or ideas, feel free to reach out to me here: [email protected]

My 2 cents/thoughts since you were looking for feedback/ideas.

Any plans to provide a bigger free tier or a reduced capability free tier? I likely may not be the target market and more lumped into scale, but I recently started using hetrix which also adds some resource management. I havent exceeded their free tier but i do have a number of monitors active.

Once i hit their free limit, its going to be harder for me to send money out to pay for a new unknown service and also do migrations.

Also wondering, do you have benchmarks of your monitoring vs other competitors? Resource monitoring should be minimal but curious how it compares to some others as its "easy" to make something that is not efficient

Looks very nice though from the landing. Pretty UI

@Beniskickbutt Thanks for the feedbackβ€”appreciate it!

About the free tier: FiveNines collects server data every 5 seconds, giving super detailed resource usage info (I don’t know any other service offering that). I could do a β€œmore hosts but less frequent” free tier like Hetrix, but my goal isn’t to copy what’s already out there. I want to build something simple, intuitive, and game-changing for monitoring.

On benchmarks: I’ve optimized the agent to be lightweight, but it’s a good idea to share some comparisonsβ€”I'll work on that.

What’s coming soon? Customizable dashboards (v0 is live), CVE scans with mitigation proposals, anomaly detection, misconfiguration analysis, and more cool stuff you won’t find elsewhere.

I’d say create a free account, connect one server, and see if it clicks with you. Plus, you’ll get notified when new features drop.

Thanks again for checking it outβ€”and for the kind words about the UI!

  • Any chance that you'll ever add a prometheus endpoint?

  • spuyetspuyet Member, Patron Provider

@BurritoWrapped You're asking for fivenines to collect data from a prometheus compatible endpoint or you want prometheus to collect data from fivenines ?

Thanks man, I’ve released many improvements recently on dashboards, you can track many hosts on the same visualization and data precision/granularity is way better than before.

Also, crypto payment is now accepted.

I’m working on script/cron tasks monitoring rn (a bit like Nagios), a bunch of users asked for it 😊
