Have seen the weirdest thing happen yesterday.

Lost connectivity to my online.net and gc vps. Both accessible without issues from home internet until yesterday.

Now I cannot ping. Tracert looses at the last hop.

However hetrixtools.com is able to confirm its online and receiving stats. I can connect to these serves from other random idlers.

What is it one can try to figure out the problem?

Well it's not exactly a deal breaker as the DB server will always reject request not originating from whitelist, but i don't think i will be going with Standard VPS from LET. perhaps Hetzner could be the one or maybe cloudvider, meh might just go with OVH.

Yes, I don't think you should host it on a summerhost provider, my point is just that good DDoS protection shouldn't be that important.

Hetzner doesn't have a very good one either compared to Cloudflare for example, but they're still fine for the DB IMO.
