Hi @Kevinf100 -- We tend to see quite heavy traffic during Black Friday, but I've seen a post from an admin earlier indicating that they typically do upgrades around this time period to handle such surges. I'd imagine they're quite well prepared, as these events have grown quite a bit over the years!
From our own experience at RackNerd, preparing for traffic surges is key - and I'm sure LET follows similar practices to ensure smooth sailing during these peak periods.

The reseller account technically needs a "primary" domain which in itself is a cPanel account (does not count towards the number of sub-cPanel accounts you have). It can be a subdomain if desired, or if you do not intend on hosting a site via the primary account, it can even be a dummy domain. We can always change the primary domain on the account upon request (via support ticket) as well in the future, so no worries on it being tied forever.
This is a good tutorial, and gives a fairly good understanding/picture of how to get started with a RackNerd reseller account

As for this year, while flash sales are exclusively the Chef's domain, we're always thinking of ways to contribute to the community. Can't make any promises just yet, but you know we love to keep things exciting around here
