Checking in before I grab some dinner. Looks like the party's still going!

Woot woot, what did you have for dinner today?

Had some ziti (and later some ice cream for desert).

I just googled that and it looks absolutely delicious!

Is this baked ziti? Such a classic dish and for good reason. Pasta is so simple to make and never really gets any major complaints. If you roll your own pasta though.. that is on a whole different level. I bought something to make my own pasta but have not gotten around to it. One day.. I want to try the difference and see if it is worth it but so much more work to do so

Yes it is, I've never heard of it before. Looks yummy :yum:

Ziti's just pasta?! Name made it sound something exquisite. Didn't know:-

    Yup, just a particular type

Never been a fan of pasta to begin with. Hope no Italians here.

    Oh them's fightin' words lol

Sheeesh! That was quick - half a million, let's go!

    Anyone remember this hashtag?

    ON-THE-WAY-TO-1-MILLION

We're getting there! And the beauty is, we're just getting started.

Doing it on mobile is hard though, refresh button is on top hidden.

I tried once and it was a nightmare. never agaain

Well it's hard but nothing better to stay connected on the go or while in the bed.

I've seen @MrEd trying it once and he ranked 6 or smth very close to the first 5, I was impressed

He is quite good with mobile usage, and I mean it.

So, dude, heard you got a backpack coming your way. Congrats!

Yup will be shipped in the next batch. Hope it arrives in one piece ๐Ÿ˜‚

The packaging was damaged a bit on mine, but, 0 damage to the backpack.

Blame the airport staff for that.

Not the airport staff the customs department check each parcel by opening them. Idk but almost all my parcels were opened and taped.

Yah, that does happen, but, the damage to the outer box is mostly from mishandling by airport staff. This is esp. true for packages shipped through non-DHL,UPS, Fedex services, eg.- USPS.

My aramex packages arrive in good condition though, just opened and tucked back. Nothing more nothing less. Just sometimes too much cess and import duty on top of tax.

I've had great experience with Aramex as well. Cheaper rates, and at times, cheaper duties as well.

Yup aramex is good, but it's always a little bit late while fedex is super fast for me.

FedEx and DHL are super fast, but, are priced on the higher end and I have usually seen that the customs duties is higher with them. Maybe it's just me.

My three fedex parcels were duty free (might be due to cheaper bill of under $100).

Marking them as a gift sometimes works as well. But, low chances.

100 pages = 3k comments, even @noob404 is not able to do that in several hours :D

i don't know why i have never heard of/tried racknerd before. their service is top notch and these black friday deals are absolutely incredible. after ordering my first VPS with racknerd, i decided to ditch my old VPS provider and move all of my servers over to racknerd during this black friday event. everything has gone without a hitch and i've had zero down time during the transfer of all of my applications and data. i truly just want to say THANK YOU for allowing me to virtually have better service for a better price with a US company.

with that being said, in the spirit of black friday (hopefully not sounding like a leech), i would like to request double bandwidth for the following order numbers:

    9643816325, 8692811479, 8369573823, 9666427836

thank you again, and you have a customer for life.

It's probably because they are very much community-oriented. They do not spend 1000s of dollars a month like some big companies (Po-Diddy, GibGrock, etc.) on advertising and then find innovative ways to sell items to customers they don't need. Their consecutive pricing is brutal as well. RackNerd doesn't get involved in that. They are straight forward. Most of their customers are community members, I believe. And that fact that the owner is a community member is a plus. He can be reached anytime for general queries. For technical support, as a customer, you always have the ticketing system. Frankly, their support is just awesome, for a service that's extremely cheap. On top of recurring prices, RackNerd also finds innovative ways to give it back to the community, this thread being a prime example.

Yeah they're nearly all word-of-mouth, but it works well for them since they have the service to back it up.

Service and awesome support, as well.

@TrK What's the highest duties you paid on any item and what percentage was it of the item cost or MRP?

48% of the product value instead of the invoice amount, idk why they decided to drop my invoice and instead charged on the price listed on product website.

Yah, they do that. Declaring an item with its actual paid invoice along with the product is sometimes a joke when it comes to Indian customs. Even when we provide them with everything, they still look up the price on websites. And, the problem is that they use price on Indian websites for items exclusive to US.

And it messes up the charges for the people like us, idk why will they streamlined this process.

Not anytime soon. It also depends on your port of entry, from what I've heard. Some are known for exceptionally high charges.

    Oh them's fightin' words lol

I have never been a fan of spaghetti! I am kidding, I am kidding.

It's ok, I'm not Italian. I'm sure I've committed some pasta sins too. :D

Hello, im back awake only got 1 ping
    Hope didnt miss much

There were 3 GAs this night. Don't really know how many of them did you miss...

    All

Anyways, no resource GAs were missed, because there were 0 of these for some days already :(

    You mean resource upgrade right?

Yeah, me and Chemist are mostly interested in resource upgrades :)
