Hello fam,

Just wanted to update you guys, all types of VPN are banned in Pakistan.
Can't connect to any of the server using OpenVPN, not even paid ones.

Let me know if there is any way to use it or bypass the blockage somehow.

  • Airport, vmess+tls, or ss protocols don't work anymore either?

  • I would try Tailscale/Zerotier/Cloudflare WARP.

You could also try some methods used in China like v2ray

Currently using AmneziaWG as default in all my systems, apart from the Go implementation they have a kernel module as well, you can compile and install. It works around any sort of DPI firewall

    Go impl. - https://github.com/amnezia-vpn/amneziawg-go
    Kernel (optional) - https://github.com/amnezia-vpn/amneziawg-linux-kernel-module

  • What about Outline with prefix

  • Wireguad not working also

  • All are working Again. Look like a glitch in warp

  • Quite weird actually, how are enterprises going to connect to their VPN networks.

    Thanked by 1lowprofile
  • Wireguard working on my end

Whatever works in china - will work.

  • Wireguard and OpenVPN may be easy blocked. Try a more resistant protocol like Vmess.

    This is the answer.

Something like SS with v2ray comes to mind, but it's been a few years.

V2RAY+VMESS+TLS+WS ~ XRAY+VLESS+XTLS > Hysteria >> everything else including SS, Trojan, VPN can be detected

Update: VPNs are started working again in the country, there must be an issue with the firewall as they were implementing something. The government already blocked X on every network in Pak. However, using squid proxy was a better option on the VPS.

    And a whack-a-mole begins!

If its not necessary to have the same stable IP address all the time and an IP change, every 10 minutes, is ok, you can use Tor with Torbox:
    https://www.torbox.ch/
The owner of Torbox tried this himself and confirmed this is working in Pakistan just fine!

If a stable IP address is required, you can chain a socks proxy afterwards. The goverment will not be able to block this. But your connection will be slow if you choose this way. ;)

    Just came across this news.
Looks like it was a trial of a wide scale blocking from December 1.

  • You can try openconnect as your VPN solution.
It is based on and built upon the gnutls library and has no additional detectable features.

  • For me everything is working fine try to change your isp provider

Its working fine already, it was happening that day only.

  • Pakistan will further improve the network firewall, they will get technical support from China, the network ban in China for many years, With a lot of experience, traditional vpns will soon fail

  • Can you use an iframe based "VPN?"
Not idea, and pretty much just for browser-based access, but it's something.

Wishing you the best. Stay safe.
