are these good or bad news

It's not clear which account you have in mind, Malwarebytes or AzireVPN. I'm definitely not getting rid of my ancient Malwarebytes Premium lifetime license, that's for sure.
AzireVPN was good, not anymore
im talking about azirevpn
it is also interesting that malwarebytes has its own vpn service and resells mullvad. ovpn.com was also good, but was also bought up by a shady company. the next service will then be mullvad, they have certainly already received offers.
who bought ovpn.com when?
Kape 2023

You also have one of those? Damn, hope nothing happens to it
is kape evil?
yes, their main goal is not to make money through vpn subscriptions, but to sell your data, as almost all vpn providers do. you are the product.
but it's also a very good business model. start a vpn service. rent servers or buy old hardware + colo, then in a few years sell the whole company for tens of millions or in the case of expressvpn even 936 million (yes, to kape), either to the chinese or some of the countless u.s. companies that have connections to the government or secret services.
I got them about 15 years ago when they were new on the market, but since only one was in constant use and they no longer offer lifetime licenses, it seems they "retired" all of them except the one I'm still using.
I like it because it works well alongside any antivirus, it doesn’t create conflicts.
