  • Mine came back, seems like either a network issue or the VM was frozen in the meantime since it has had no reboot during the downtime apparently.

    I updated the ticket to mention it was solved (just to check if there was someone even reading) and it got closed a few hours later without any reply.

    They're cancelling my service anyhow on next renewal so had already migrated out of it but it does not bode too well for their service. No status update in announcements either.

  • I've recently canceled all my services with hostslick. Last couple of month a lot of network troubles, with promises it would be fixed soon, and I couldn't manage my vps'es with virtualizor. All he does is offering a couple of month extra for free, but does not solve the problems. He is growing too fast and it's getting over his head. I'll pass any tempting offerings from hostslick that he may post.

    Same here, there's a cancellation in place that I didn't ask for, plus the PayPal subscription has been cancelled.

    Also, it's not just Christmas VPN packages that are affected. My KVM VPS Package I is affected by this outage and the previous outages as well. It's not showing the cancellation though, it's just the Christmas package that shows that.

    My black friday 2023 VPS Package I is also experiencing issues?

    I ordered dedi oct 11th, took them until 21st to activate, first due to their issues with upgrade, then having no stock, later having issues with servers motherboard. Once activated, it had issues, on apt update would throw out message something about cd/dvd insert media. Also i picked debian 11, but came with alma. When tried to reinstall via console it was not working (instalation stuck for hours). On 22nd got message "Something wrong with this Server" and they made full refund.

    Gave them time like 1.5 weeks to sort their issues and ordered again on nov 2nd 90e dedicated server. In notes asked for cachy os, but got debian. Its fine, but at least could informed me that they cant do it. Now their 90euro NL server performs peering wise 2 times worse than 40e hetzner FSN. Within 12 hours of testing, asked for refund, they said no which is fine as its in their tos and what not, asked nicely again saying keep 5-10e or whatever and refund the rest, ticket got closed without an answer haha

    I would call them HostShit. Never doing business again, the customer support is bad. During their network upgrade, tickets not answered for 14-36 hours or so. He was blabbing something about 3 hour response time or something in the comments on lowend. One thing when you selling 2-5e/month vps, another thing is when you are selling 90e/month dedicated servers. Lately it almost look like exit scam incoming :D

    @HostSlick you can replace dead SSDs(assuming its SSD failure) with HDDs for CHRISTMAS OFFER I and II but don't cancel

    I must say it must be "very nice" for clients to learn from LowEndTalk that theirs servers are getting cancelled.
    IMHO if you can mass-cancel things you can also mass-email something like "We are unsure about future of this, we will set those to auto-cancel to avoid potential billing problems, more info in 48h".

    This reminds me: How do you cancel service o.O I can't find anything in the panel, did they disabled that?

    Just craft URL manually via https://hostslick.com/clients/clientarea.php?action=cancel&id=XXX I guess :-D

    this is because we are indeed unsure about the future about the plans

    So this are not able to be renewed after end of billing cycle. For now.
    A official email will follow.

    !! Service is provided until end of billing term for those plans

    Reasons are, firstly we are unhappy and dissapointed ourself with the provided service of this plans. We need to labour further and work on it.

    HostSlick wants to offer better product and quality in future. This plan/special went completely wrong. And we apologize.
    Until recently at least, everything on this worked great until problems started.
    As a company we need to learn from such mistakes (as what happened with the hardware failure) and develop further.

    In addition, currently we are working on completely new VPS plans starting from new years 2025, this will be two lines;

    There will be numerous new products // new VPS plans, much better and more specs as i feel our current listed on website are not very attractive.
    At least not today anymore. Times are changing.

    We have in mind,

    Intel
    "Economy Line" (not sure about its name) XEON v3/v4 plans with SSD with alot of RAM and 10Gbit as a standard. No 1gbit anymore. For good prices.
    "Performance Line" Intel Gold/platinum CPUs with NVME alot of RAM and 10Gbit as standard. No 1gbit anymore

    AMD
    AMD ryzen nvme ryzen, 10Gbit standard. No 1gbit anymore
    AMD Epyc nvme, ssd and also storage. 10Gbit Standard. No 1gbit anymore
    etc. etc.

    We also will stop providing OpenVZ Plans and Webhosting (new orders) completely.
    VPS will be KVM only.

    There will be new offers with discounts for those who are affected.

    I dont want to anyone suffer under such things in future.

    Also, i am currently working on the last tickets regarding that.
