How can I fix this "Failed to find /sbin/init on any block device" error on a particular system?

I made a disk image backup directly and restoring to a new virtualization system, Bhyve, it is failing to startup. The boot existing operating system on hard disk option in SystemRescueCD also fails to find it.

The same image works when it is restored to a Proxmox system. It reboots without a problems and the SystemRescueCD boot existing operating system on hard disk option can also boot it.

What is the likely fix for this? Maybe the Bhyve BIOS, default drivers are not compatible with the disk image format?

Assuming that if can be fixed what should I do?

The successful booting of the Proxmox system proves that the data must be intact, but the expected drive geometry of something else may be different.

Do not attempt to translate disk images across hypervisors.
Reinstall from scratch and transfer the files inside the OS.

That's what I'm doing, but I'm hoping that os-prober and the booting mechanisms can configure the stuff properly and automatically
