1U Colocation Provider
Hello,
I am looking into 1U colocation with 10G network uplink, this is not for streaming, more on webhosting for websites and webapps.
I need a provider with low cost on monthly fees of IPs, looking into a multiyear contract.
Anyone to suggest for a Reliable partner?
I need this partner to be in the market for years and not a kid.
Thank you.

Hi! Nice to meet you.
If i may ask:
If Amsterdam, NL is okay, we can offer the following on a up to 3 years contract if you'd like:
NorthC Kabelweg AMS:
We will also be able to offer the above soon (in 2 weeks from now!) in Databarn, AMS for around €49 mrc.
We would be happy to actively look with you into your needs! Feel free to reach out to us via DM, or at support [at] backbone [d0t] direct :-)
The order amount of 1U Colocation is relatively small, and there should not be many local merchants willing to accept such small hosting orders. This usually involves renting a ready-made independent server and paying monthly.
Thank you for your reply. I am interested.
I don't mind that much on the location, must be in Europe though, preferred Finland or Netherlands.
Power should be at 1amp included per month. I have 2x750W PSU so 100 w it's not enough.
Thank you for your reply.
Hi Nval,
Thanks for your interest and reply! Including 1 amp (230W +-) of power i can do:
If interested, feel free to send me a DM with your contact information so we can discuss this further! We can help you with any of your colocation and bandwidth needs.
Kind regards,
Diederik

Its often less about the PSU, and more about what is in the server (cpu,...) that actually causes the power draw. If you let us know the specs, then i am sure many posters here will be able to help estimate your real world power-draw.

I can already tell you that you will realistically end up requiring 1.5 to 2.4A for this, depending on your load.
Kind Regards :-)

on 230/240V?
2.4A for starting up?
(I'm just a noob that wants to learn)
He has a server with 2x 200w tdp cpu's, Even when not doing a lot of compute, that is going to take some power just to keep running at base frequency.
For memory he has 4 dimm's, those also draw power, altho in his case he has chosen large dimm's, wich is a generally a bit more efficent than more smaller ones.
Based on the mainboard, addon card we are talking about a dell server. He mentioned that its a 1U you are looking at 4 to 6 fans in this chassis. Its also worth pointing out that both the Network-Addon card as well as the Raid card increase the powerdraw as well (slightly). The SAS ssd's used here also a tiny bit less efficient that their sata counterparts.
If you read what i wrote before it said "depending on your load".
Doing little (not just purely idling) he will likely be around the 1.3 to 1.5 A mark. Depending on his load he will go all the way up to 2.4A (peak). Realistically I think a 2A power budget would work well for him, but the 1A that was inquired about will be a bit on the low side. My comment was purely about pointing that out.
I can fully recommend going with @BackboneDirect! They are currently one of my long-term strategic partners and I cannot think about changing it!
Hello, we can offer some in Frankfurt, Germany with Remote Hands. Drop us a PM with more info about your hardware plz.
Please ensure you research these providers thoroughly before sending your hardware. Additionally, always document everything you send, including hardware serial numbers. Wishing you success in your search, and good luck!
@RoyaleHosting and @SGraf are both super premium, I'd recommend sticking with them.
Hello,
We would love to work with you and can accommodate your request.
We have Dallas, NY, Tampa and Seattle locations.
Please feel free to DM me and we can work to get you a quote.
We've got you covered with bandwidth! We have one location, we own the DC, its in Ohio www.microtronixdc.com
We should be able to help with this! could you contact us through DM or live chat so that we can discuss pricing?
Thank you for the mention
@SGraf @RoyaleHosting @BackboneDirect @NUXOA @AS203446
Thank you all for your messages, I've reached many of you from DM as instructed and I wait your offers.
Apart from that, I have different kind of question, I need a data center location that has proven internet access to AMS-IX https://www.peeringdb.com/ix/26
I did some tests on some and was not fast due to my location which will not be mentioned, DM me if needed though.
Which one above has a proven fast connection and can they provide a speed test url?
Thank you.
@Clouvider and @RoyaleHosting both have direct peering with AMS-IX.
Thank you will check.
A data center having "access" to AMS-IX does not mean that the provider/ISP is present on AMS-IX, which we are not, but a few of our Transit providers.
I wouldn't make the choice which colocation provider to use based on the fact that they are present at AMS-IX. They could stop being there any time.
And you getting a better speed just because your traffic from your Home ISP ends up running via AMS-IX from ISP A to ISP B does not mean that AMS-IX is the reason for more speed.
@BackboneDirect because i saw it a few min ago
that 0,02€/Mbit it says on Website possible on 100Gbit commit?
While i am not personally present on amsix, I can certainly help with that. Customers of mine are present there... So we would just do an L2 to get you over there - via nikhef. (Either via a reseller port of a business partner or direct, if you want to order a patch in nikhef).
Hey, thanks for your interest! Our starting rate of 2 cents per 95% Mbps applies mainly to specific scenarios, such as:
For full transit on 100G port(s) we can offer a slightly higher rate while still remaining within the 2.x to 3 cents per Mbps range. All ports we provide are symmetrical, so we don’t limit or adjust based on upload vs. download (e.g., we don’t restrict to "50% upload").
If you're interested or would like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out! We are eager to work with/for anyone to supply a suitable, performant and affordable traffic solution.
Regarding OP, we are currently exploring options with NL-IX and AMS-IX for larger port connections, though we're still in the negotiation phase and can’t confirm dates or specific IX details yet.

@Chunkserve could help
Can I charge my flashlight with that? How is that possible to run anything with 100W? What do you charge per amp and what voltage?
