st-hosting.com outage

So, they reported move to another DC. Issue is colossal in proportions as outage struck their website, billing system and servers. Total blackout and/or performance degradation beyond tolerance.

Total uptime of their service since 24th of November 2023 is 99.91%. Those are ihostart class numbers.

Situation under monitor, let's see how long "move to another DC" will last... Definitely will not renew on upcoming BF. That's single host from current 12 providers which has constant uptime problems.

Who does that in such manner? Everything is down. Migrate billing and website separately, that’s easy. Migrate in steps to avoid cluster fck. Now this is chaos.

I think you don't know the dependencies to other systems (VPS-Panel, Billing) etc. better then us, right :) - The landingpage with the information that there is maintenance work in progress were always online. Also we send a newsletter to all our customers in the beginning of october. And finally we announced the maintenance window since 4 weeks on our discord and status page.

Because of this uptime problems we've migrated the datacenter to our own routing and network setup. That was a essential step to improve our network performance. I can't say that we make everything right, but we've now influence on all things and we can take action when there anything goes wrong, because we're now fully independend with own core-router, core-switches and an own carrier setup.
