  • My Top3 providers.

    1 NameCrane >> Support, Hardware & Pricing.

    2 RackNerd >> Support & Pricing.

3 EthernetServers >> Support & services, but they have fewer nodes/locations.

  • Namecrane
    ExtraVM

Namecrane also has ffmpeg and it is very useful for generating thumbnails.

@MikeA do you plan on adding ffmpeg for shared hosting?

Racknerd for cpanel, Namecrane for directadmin.

I would avoid web hosting business run by single person though, as tickets are answered late, and on weekends. So can't recommend more companies. Stick with those having staff.

I installed the ffmpeg binary on the web servers, so it can be called by a script. I don't use ffmpeg for anything so if there's some requirement relating to PHP message me. (You can also download and use any binary/composer scripts via terminal)

    1. I am currently using Hostbrr @labze . Pretty good hardware/network. WordPress benchmark score>9.
    2. @NameCrane has similar/better specs and is backed by a solid background in hosting industry.
    3. Heard a lot of good things about @speedypage .They are pricey and don't have much discount offers, but pretty reliable.
    4. Also using @HostSlick . Decent specs, cheap pricing when you get in on offer.
    5. @dustinc Racknerd . Decent specs good prices. good performance.

Avoid HostSlim @VPSSLIM , You can't use your own SMTP in their hosting [Everything is blocked expect port 80 and 443], And even their server IP has poor reputation with no rDNS. In short if you host anything in HostSlim your website will not be able to send mails even password reset, Security notification mail from your wp will not work, you will be completely locked out from emails.

They also block 3rd party API End points ports like i had on port 5000, Nothing works.

I asked their support why they block this request, they said to avoid spamming LOL. Not sure how they protect their server by blocking even SendGrid or 3rd party SMTP.

I have been using several hosting from last 9 years never seen any one of them blocking this.

The comments on this thread explain why the members of this site can't help but get scammed every other week. The single only good recommendation in this thread so far is @speedypage.

FEDcisco sold previous BuyVM customers data for $7M to fund NameCrane in the first place, then tried to keep it a secret. Why? Because Hannan Nozari's reputation (founder of Cloudzy) is shit, because he's sketchy as shit. The goal was to use BuyVM as a front to cash out on FEDcisco's reputation and avoid Hannan.

    https://www.reuters.com/technology/cloud-company-assisted-17-different-government-hacking-groups-us-researchers-2023-08-01/

    https://www.techerati.com/news-hub/cloudzy-hacking-groups-halcyon/

Do you really want to trust someone like this for their next venture?

What happens when he sells your data again to someone just as sketchy to Hannan? You can verify that Cloudzy is permanently integrated with NameCrane, as their London location is Cloudzy's. These brands are now part of each other, and I would never touch it as a result.

Further, I believe only someone like Hannan would buy BuyVM in the first place because they knew the risks with the type of audience FEDcisco panders to.

Additionally, RackNerd literally got their seed money defrauding their employer, using the servers to sell services, and then committed one of the largest deadpools ever known to this forum.

They took that money, rolled it over to criminal defense, the startup funds of RackNerd, and signed a contract with ColoCrossing.

Why would you ever use either of these people?

P.S. You're a massive cornball if you do the "freedom of speech" / "law of the land" / "we allow piracy in our EU location even though I'm a Canadian living in the US, operating through a US company") grift & intentionally attract all of those same types of shitters, all while you know you cooperate with the feds.

This is why you should use actual American owned businesses when they make being American as a selling point. FEDcisco is still seething the feds wouldn't get Tiny Weasel from Australia.

  • You really need to stop sprinkling hallucinogens on your frosties, Foxy.

@Rabisu > One of the hosting providers I order from the most, I recommend everyone to try their servers.

Keyubu > Among the price/performance hostings, I haven’t had any issues except with the support.

Pratik Sunucum > Prices are affordable, and I recommend it for TR location. Their support is also very responsive.

    Re this thread's topic:

    • @Hybula - not cheap (outside of promos) but very high quality and performance incl. connectivity not from this planet.
    • @host_c - for storage, very attractive prices, the best bang per buck ratio (by far) yet really good quality.
    • AlphaVPS ( @AlexBarakov ) - a "quiet" one, not much noise but a consistently good and reliable one with excellent support, also very decent pricing.

Those are my top-3 as in "who's offers do I look first?" but, depending on concrete need, budget, etc. I know quite a few other good ones too, maybe not 'top' but good.

Well, I don't, that's why I ask. But I agree insofar that the term "FEDcisco" strongly suggests bias (and more than a bit). But still, I prefer to ask for evidence rather than judging quickly.
@SirFoxy should have a fair chance to show that what he says is not made up BS or wild speculations.

That said, of course my first gut reaction is doubting that @Francisco would act so despicably.

We've already discussed this in another thread.

There's not a host on here that hasn't had to deal with law enforcement. I was quite clear and open about that when the bomb threats were flying around. It's smarter to get ahead of things than it is for them to make their own assumptions, no?

Thanks for the votes everyone, especially the people that have been around since BuyShared's incarnation!
