Current plan:
SG 64TRC
CPU: Intel E5-1650 v2 6c/12t 3.5GHz
RAM: 32 GB
HARD DRIVE: 4 x 16 TB
MONTHLY TRAFFIC: 100 TB
PRICE: € 96 / MONTH
I was wondering if there was anything cheaper/ better value. Min requirements are minimum 64Tb HDD and 32GB RAM. Can't be hetzner as I need it for plex.
Thanks

you will save so much money by just using hetzner with a cheap VPS to proxy plex through
Hostingby.design. 1230 16GB 4x16TB 10Gbit 100TB 99 euro.
This aint really worth it for most Providers. So thats why there are only Options Like Hetzner.
This one is close and also has 2 faster CPUs, more RAM, and SSD.
But less HDDs (can be added separately) and not in Europe. For Europe you probably need to look at the Eastern part, but I can't tell about specific providers.
@host_c could probably help you with a VPS/VDS
He’s the go to for storage around here
i worry that it will make communication between all docker containers more difficult as I use arrs, Caddy reverse proxy for custom domain etc. which took me a while to get right - I would probably struggle trying to add a VPN into the mix. What do you think? Am I being stupid?
10Gb is nice 👌 but I don't think I really need it tbh
wow this seems like a cracking deal, I live in the UK so my only question is will this be useable? Especially for 4K high bitrate plex streaming?
very keen to hear from him
@seller_serpent
we do not have V2, or V3 CPU.
Minimum is V4 and Xeon Scale Gen1 ( Gold 6148 )
You need 64 TB usable or 48 TB usable ( 4 x 16 TB in raid 5 is 48 usable )
Here is a looking glass: https://lg-ro-or.host-c.com/
Test it before we go any further in this.
Also, we do only VDS, no DeDi for the moment.
we can go 6vCPU or even 12vCPU
32 GB ram is not a problem
We offer NVME for boot
Just tell me the Usable Storage you wish to aim for.
Hi,
Thanks for responding.
I would like 64Tb useable but not bothered about redundancy - raid0 will be fine for me.
What are your internet speeds and data caps?
Will I get root access with a VDS? I basically just have a compose file and will just run that to get all my docker containers up and running again.
we only have RAID 6, 60 and RAID 10. so you will have redundancy ( at least with us )
This will depend on the Product Chosen, but we can go for 100G/mo
Yapp, we provide root access by default.
so would something like this:
Icarus II - NVME VPS - I125 ( customized )
6 vCPU Intel Xeon Gold CPU - 6148
32 GB DDR4 RAM
120 GB NVME Storage
64 TB optional HDD Storage Add-on (Raid 60) 7K IOPS @ 4K and up to 1.2 GBPS RW
1 Free Backup Slot
1 Dedicated IPV4 IP
1 Dedicated IPV6 IP, /64 upon request via ticket
Port Speed 2 GBPS
100TB Internet Traffic, 200 MBPS after depletion
List price is 139.4 USD / MO
We can do a 20% off, that will get you to 111.52 USD / MO
If you are fine with 1 GBPS line and no included backup slot we can do it at 95 USD / MO
If you don't want to mess around with proxies for Plex, this is probably the hottest option, OP!

That seems like a cracking deal, i would be happy with 1 gbps and no backup. With that said, I'm wondering how much useable storage could be given for $120/mo?
I'm in a similar situation and been using a VPS from them as a personal "transatlantic backup" for nearly two years.
Never tried anything like streaming though.
Here's their looking glass, should give you an idea about the speed / latency.
Another option is testing that on a live machine. They have a 7 day money back guarantee on VPS plans. For a dedi I'd re-confirm that with the support.
Ideally looking for something in Europe
