Brace yourselves! Incoming storm of renewals!

In just a few days we will enter the month of Black Friday. This will create beautiful dreams of a new Black Friday event, but it will also generate a huge storm of invoices to renew the rides we had in the past.

From such storm of invoices, what will you renew? Will you stand tall and face the storm by renewing everything?

  • the ethernetserver server I got for 0.7$/m 3 years ago.
    OVZ 1-1 with 60GB disk.
Still a solid deal to store some files and monitor my other idle servers.

I have many idle VPS I should probably cancel, but the thing that will hurt my wallet the most is the domain renewals.

    Looking forward to it.

It mostly depends on the deals that will be offered. Hopefully providers won't scale back this year. If I get a KS-A or something similar I'll probably cancel something. I also need a 2TB NAT storage at a good recurring price.

  • @everyone, please transfer any services that you do not plan to renew.

True. What a world we live in. An yearly domain, which is just a row in some database of a registry, nowadays costs more than an yearly virtual computer running applications 24/7.

We need two Black Friday transfer threads so people can get rid of their idlers and free up money for Black Friday shopping.

One thread should be created before Black Friday, when we don't know the upcoming offers.

Big Balls - Black Friday Transfer Thread

The second thread should be created after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

No Balls - Black Friday Transfer Thread

The big balls (thread) should be pinned.

No, I'm clearly not going to renew them all.
The aim is to get rid of most of my idle servers.
The ones I have left are non-transferable. So I'm just waiting for them to expire.
My goal for 2025 is to have very few servers, but ones that perform well and are stable. :)
