Looking for storage server in us region for provisioning proxmox backup server with capacity around 500TB
8-12 cpu core
64gb ram
1gbps network
Looking for some new options beside crunchibits, netdynamics and other 2-3 famous ones

Seagate's largest HDD atm is 30 TB, WD's is 26 TB, IIRC.

This is what i am thinking. at lets say 20tb per disk we are taling 25 disks, before any type of parity. Assuming you are doing pbs and zfs, and want at least a raidz3, thats like what, 28 disks. At 26 (WD's largest) thats 20 disks+3 = 23 disks.

I'm happy to custom build you something, but it will involve a setup fee, and at least 12 months min contract duration. Send me an email to [email protected]

@NetDynamics24 offer up to 1PB on a single server in the US be hard to match that price I’d imagine

Happy to hear that. I always wonder about these customized servers, because there's many factor that affect the price.

Thanks for the mention, yes we can offer such huge storage servers at a price close to (or even lower) $1/TB per month and without setup fees.

He just gave me a very detailed answer, which's over my expectation. Haven't bought any services from him yet, but definitely try one in the future, he's very nice.
