Is anyone here using VPS bought from LowEndProvider for hosting production workloads?
After the Mike closing his site, I see that many customer just bought VPS for seeing his uptime, or running yabs, or some "idle" task. So, if you are using for production, what are you hosting and what provider would you recommend me for this kind of task ?

Ihostart for all high load production sites

Just for yabs. Usually only run once, at the time of purchase.
Hi, we possible give you a 10TB VPS with 99.99% downtime with DDoS
reguards
exactly me, just bought a VPS, setup some docker, container, run nws, yabs, and then....
I used to do this, but the few euros you can save are simply not worth it if a provider suddenly disappears from the scene.
I now only use Microsoft, Hetzner and my own hardware for running productive systems.
Me too. Enterprise problem need enterprise solution. LET is just for fun. And YABS.
Nope, there are very little, if any, providers on here I truely trust. Any important workloads are all on Hetzner/Upcloud/Katapult/Digital Ocean.
So, of all provider, I think Hetzner is the cheapest, right ?
Yeah I think so, cause I see many people use Mike lifetime deals for making money. I don't have any rude or mean, but I just though this kind of deal is not suitable for production workload.
I mean, saying Hetzner isn't low-end is a very low-end thing to say.
Sure, it's not Labze-cheap, but it's still very cheap for what you get.
Hmmm, now I have a new dilemma, which one was first??
Using it for my main personal email, but there is enough redundancy that I don't have to worry about any downtimes.
I trust my prod with @Shakib @heartbeat_IT and @hosthatch
haha I think you should start a node that main purpose is on running yabs. Like when you speedtest networking, the ISP will maximize the result, and when someone running yabs on "yabs" node, all the stats is up for 3-40% hahaha
I'm waiting for @hosthatch storage deals. I'm so sad that I missed it
On a serious note I’ve had 0 issues with @v3ng & @naranjatech would highly recommended both
I've got zero downtime for the past 2 years with RackNerd and the 1 year I've been with LowHosting. Follow the reviews and complement them with your own research, and stay away from summer hosts, which don't have any long standing reviews.
Yes, it's by far the cheapest I've come across for the service they offer. In recent years, it's gotten much better in terms of DDoS protection and network reliability.
I'm not certain how good DDoS protection is as I've had no issues but if you are behind Cloudflare you shouldn't need to worry about that anyway.
I have heard many good review from hetzner, may try 1 when I have use-case. Thank you.
zero downtime for 2 years is too good.
The downtimes make the news, the uptimes stay quite. It's the way it's always been. You don't hear me complaining when everything is good. Some polite reviews are left occasionally for good providers, but nothing drags the mob like those popcorn smearing threads.
In @hosthatch, I trust my beloved VPS production since 2021
yes. using alphavps for production use. hosthatch and serverica for storage. enough satisfaction.
My prod VPSes are @NDTN, @hosthatch and @speedypage
But as always, backup your things.
@hosthatch @Advin @host_c @AlexBarakov - alphavps @vpsdime .
All reliable providers who can be used for Production. ( Just my suggestions ).
Ofcourse, always take backups
