Some deals for Compute and RAID10 storage

hosthatchhosthatch Patron Provider, Top Host, Veteran

Hello all,

To order, please go to https://cloud.hosthatch.com/sale/current-promotions

All sales are final. We cannot change with another service. We do not provide refunds (or credits) for these plans. Please make sure you are absolutely sure before placing an order.

What is the setup time?

The setup time is 10 working days (2 weeks). Most will get delivered much earlier. Some may get slightly delayed. Please order one of the packages from hosthatch.com directly if immediate provisioning is needed. We cannot offer faster provisioning on special plans.
Opening tickets to inquire about the delivery timing will reset the two week timer. Support time is extremely expensive, please use it with care. Please be careful if delivery
date is important / related to you moving from another server and having to cancel it in time, etc.

Are smaller plans available?

Unfortunately no. Over the past few years, we have adjusted our offerings, to the point where we can maintain very high quality, performance and uptime at a fair price point.
We no longer aim for the ultra low spec/price deadpool deals.

Is BGP available?

Yes, we offer BGP with a $10 USD setup fee per location, and no monthly recurring fee, for all of these offers and previous ones.

Is IPv6 available?

Routed /64 per VM is available in all locations and can be enabled from the control panel.

Are there any other differences between our normal and discounted plans?

Yes, primarily our support. It can take several days to resolve issues, especially issues that require complex investigation. Please choose one of the services from hosthatch.com directly for production usage, with access to our normal support queue. Our promotional services are provided at near-cost pricing to fill up excess capacity and should be used accordingly. We also do not offer location migrations and/or other flexibilities on these
plans.

There is no difference in the quality of the servers itself - as we use the same backend, enterprise hardware and excellent monitoring for all of our services. We run a standardized and redundant Juniper based network in all of our locations, which allows us to deliver excellent uptime and network performance.

What networks and datacenters do you use?

Please view https://www.hosthatch.com/features/ for Datacenters, looking glasses and test files

One of the things that differentiates us from most of the providers here is that we have redundancy at each setup. We connect to at least two separate upstreams in each location, so we can be online even if one of our upstreams is completely offline. Ask your provider if they have this.

Why is X location/offer not available?

We have more excess capacity in some locations as compared to others. Unfortunately, once it is sold out, it is sold out, and we cannot change this. There is a limited amount of capacity available in each location. We don't sell snake oil, we tell you upfront that this is a once a year special offer, that will not be available again any time soon.

Can I change my server with the X offer?

Unfortunately no. All sales are final, and we cannot offer any changes to them. We cannot replace one pending service with another. We also do not provide any refunds for pending orders. Please make sure you are 100% sure before placing an order, as there is very limited capacity available.

  • Hi . Email/SMTP servers allowed ? Port-25 open ?
    Any network port blocked ?

Thanks for supporting BGP announcement/sessions, & displaying it in FAQ (or else, as you said, support-time is expensive) , is it possible to waive the BGP fee when 2 years paid ? (for EU location)

still waiting for definitive response/answer/considerations from provider , as the OP/provider displayed there is No Refunds !
as far as i'm aware ... according to EU laws, refund must happen in EU purchases if cancelled within 14-days.

By the way, we do not send any spam.
We are IT Tech security service provider & consultants, ... and our service includes How to stop spammers, spamming, etc.
Our all business domains are 100% spam-free.
Our 1 project's customers will use only our-own-leased IPv6 /48 subnet, for which we need BGP setup, our subnet is registered under our RIPE ORG, etc name & data, so any abuse/blame comes to us/our-business , NOT to VPS-provider.
And there is sufficient protections & security in place, to stop any spamming by our customers : by attaching customer's domain, registration, company, etc with the IPv6-address(s) or /64 subnet, etc, so-that any spamming (and reputation downgrade) will seriously harm customer & customer's reputation, ... among our other various steps ... which are done to deter+stop spamming ... if our customers do not-agree, & not able to prove/provide docs, & not able to do/provide necessary settings , then no service from us ... we are happy with very limited users ... honest business/person is more important to us than dishonest/dishonesty ... simple as that.

    UPDATE:
provider will not waive BGP fee for 2-year pre-paid VPS, and said they are not right provider, ...

@hosthatch I have an old 2023 BF deal in Stockholm (Black Friday 2023 - AMD Compute 4 GB - T1) and paid for 1 year in advance. Any chance I could open a support ticket and ask for a change to 2 years billing (and pay 2 years up front now) and get 2X upgrades?

Yes, we charge a $10 setup fee for this (only on special plans). Please place two orders and open a ticket immediately after.

What are the CPU of Storage hosts?

We do not advertise any specific CPU. If you need actual CPU power, please consider buying a NVMe Compute VM, and then mounting the Storage VM's disk over NFS/iSCSI using our private network. We have several customers doing this who are very happy. To answer your question: use a mix of E5v2/v3, Intel Gold, and AMD Zen1, but there is no way to know in advance.

Port 25 is blocked by default. We open it on request, after certain verifications for new accounts. If you are a customer with 3+ months of history with us, we open it without question.

No, it is not possible to waive this fee.

When a customer comes to us with this particular line, we tell them to complain to the EU to get their refund and provide a link to the URL of the EU website. No offense, but we will likely not be the right provider for you, considering your needs of free and "14 days EU refund". If you do not agree to our terms of service, please make sure to not click the "I agree to the terms of service" button when signing up. It saves everyone time.

I have given up on ETAs for the time being, but to provide an update, it is close to completion and working great - much (much!) faster than our current one (basically instantaneous responses for most requests). I hope we can at least get a public beta out in the next month or so.

    @faleddo said: Any backup/snapshot slot?

They will be out of beta access from November 1st. We offer 3 free snapshots at the moment, but they are in beta access, and may not fully work all the time.

Yes, we charge a $10 setup fee for this (only on special plans). Please place two orders and open a ticket immediately after.

Does this apply even to the storage VMs? Understandably as a customer, if I order 2 in the same location, I may want them to be on different physical nodes (unless there's an intent to stack them) to have some limited redundancy in the event of a physical node issue.

It would be nice if you would allow for at least the storage VMs to be placed on different physical nodes (in the same location) by request without a fee.

It does indeed. We do this for free on our standard offerings. I do believe a $10 fee is a fair enough fee for peace of mind and redundancy when you are paying hundreds of dollars for tens of TBs of storage.
