    Hetzner ?

    Yes

  • Hmm how can be profitable when 5950x have 16 cores, so you can give a max of 16 VPS/server. Or are you selling dedicated thread ? which is 0.5 CPU. Assuming that you are selling 16 VPS per server, here's my math:
    Server: ~80 USD
    IP: ~32 USD
    Total: 112 USD
    Your sell price 6 USD, so 6 USD x 16 VPS = 96 USD => profit= -16 USD
    Am I wrong ?

    No ipv4 by default. Most providers's vCPU=thread. Total 32 vps

    I dont think they provide IPv4

    Even without IPv4 ... the profit for a full sold server is very low, assuming 16 VPS is 16 USD.
    So, is clear that he is selling dedicated thread no CPU and I assume also that he is using RAID 0 to maximize the storage available. Am I right @mustafamw3 ?

    I’m actually selling dedicated hyper-threads. The AMD Ryzen 5950x has 16 physical cores but 32 threads, so I can offer up to 30 VDS per server, with each vCPU being one dedicated hyper-thread. The AMD Ryzen 5950x is a powerful processor, and each hyper-thread delivers over 2000 on Geekbench 6.
    We use RAID 0 storage to maximize storage availability and performance, but we also ensure data safety by offering free snapshot backups to RAID 6 storage.

    in VPS terminology, 1 vCore actually refers to one physical CPU core Hyper Thread.

    That implies, host server can support 30 cpu vCore for VPS, leaving two CPU vCores dedicated for the host server itself.

    30x5.50 = 165
    (I assumed that 0.50 are taken out due to card processing costs)

    I have a 5950x server from hetzner in Germany and without the ipv4 it only costs me €60/month. Their profit rate is crazy.

    60 euro a month for a 5950x? How you managed that then?

    This is the cheapest 5950x at Herzner right now. The prices were cheaper until few months ago.

    Well, I have always recommended having one physical core (2 vCores) as minimum unit for VDS. The reason being that 2 HTs of a physical cpu core are not truly independent of each other.

    Most customers who are used to $3 deal for VPS, will not appreciate VDS just on the basis of the cost alone.

    I have posted YABS in this thread for 2x vCore dedicated, 8 GB / 400 GB VDS, that VDS is actually pretty powerful and process isolation for a decent price.

    in VPS terminology, 1 vCore actually refers to one physical CPU core Hyper Thread.

    Mentally strong server administrator keeps hyperthreading disabled.

    No

    I think you’re confusing hyperthreading with IPv6

  • I remember your site used to use the clientexec system.

    I switched to WHMCS because it's easier to develop themes and modules, plus it offers more features for managing my hosting business. We'll also start developing and selling WHMCS modules, including Stripe Checkout module
