Any reviews about Asura Hosting?

Hello everyone,

I recently explored Asura Hosting, and their shared hosting packages appear solid. I'd appreciate hearing your opinions or experiences with their services. Is it a reliable option for hosting https://www.asurahosting.com/hosting?

Thanks in advance for your help!

they only appear solid, but when I read in-depth google reviews (as i was going to purchase from them) I found they just host sites on VPS and not a dedicated server. So, CPU, RAM, disk etc are shared from the node, thus sites hosted are slow. You can go to my.ip and find their name and check those sites hosted... they load slow. Don't go with their 3x, 4x CPU, i think that's marketing gimmick!

  • Thought I would give my 2 cents as I just came across this topic, we're not very active here:

    1. We only run Dedicated servers.
    2. Checking an IP's hosted domains to determine speed is a bit precarious not knowing if that user overloads their own account/etc. We do keep our servers pretty low on load, so there shouldn't be any issues with regards to speed/response time.

    3. Our CPU limits are true to their nature, the higher the plan the more CPU allocation it gets. (Same for RAM) Same thing for other providers I would imagine.

Hi I'm currently using it. I've used it 3 times over a period of 2 years. Had no downtime during the first 2 times but had long downtimes the 3rd time I used it. It was twice and each was a few hours. It was quite troublesome but it hasn't happened since then, might just be one of those rare cases that people talk about.

Anyways I've seen people claim that asurahosting does 20 mins support response but the closest I've ever received was 12 hours at best. But again I don't know if I should say that we should be expecting that or not due to their cheap prices cuz thats what people say when a provider with cheap prices reply late.

overall all I can say is
    1. Pricing is good
    2. Support is active

  • I use Asura, experimenting with integrating InstaWP with WHMCS (outstanding value for their WHMCS packages). Have had no issues or downtime that I'm aware of. I only have two sites + WHMCS on their hosting and haven't found it to be slow.

    • Thanks @ArrowBoi - I only discovered Asura after you mentioned in a previous post

  • This is my review of them in 2012
    https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/1511/asurahosting-excellent-support

I am not sure if they are the same guys though.

    current one:

    from 2013

The companies are different, the dates don't add up as well unless it was sold over to a different company.

I currently have seven accounts with Asura Hosting. The network is reliable, the hardware is solid, and the support team is active, but their response times could be faster.

They claim to provide bi-weekly JetBackup backups, but this is completely false. Some of their nodes have never taken backups, while others do it only once or twice a month.

For almost same pricing (or even less), I would go with @labze (Hostbrr) or Namecrane @Francisco which are right now my favorite . Earlier used Hawkhost/Crockweb (WHT popular) in same budget.

Hm... I refunded as soon as I purchased, back when I tried them.
The service was good, but I got a plan with "Free Dedicated IP".

I was curious did some checking and that "Free Dedicated IP" had multiple sites being ran and used under the "Free Dedicated IP"

I was always under the assumption that a Dedicated IP would be only Dedicated to me.
The hosting was great... Maybe I misunderstood what Dedicated IP really means.

A dedicated IP is an IP that is assigned only to you.

I agree with you, I am using Hostbrr & Namecrane too, Namecrane is the best in all ways but Hostbrr has very slow support but Hostbrr hardware is solid. .

I have just signed up. Their support response is extremely slow. It's been 3 days they haven't started my migration from the old cpanel provider and today my old service expired and got suspended. I guess I have to go back to my old provider now.

I am glad I found someone with the same concern.

When I placed order, I was being put on a shared IP. So I opened a ticket and asked for my dedicated IP. They said that is already a dedicated IP however, they then assigned me another "dedicated IP" which tied to one of their nameservers. I confronted. They told me it still is a dedicated IP despite being linked to a nameserver.

I went ahead and checked both of the IPs, more than hundreds of websites hosted on the two IPs they originally "dedicated" to me.

They only truly assigned me a dedicated IP with NO websites hosted on the IP after I sent them the screenshots to call them out.

I asked why the dishonesty, they gave all sorts of explanations which I called it nonsense.

    I do not trust them.
