We aren't the $1 VPS company. We provide a premium service at a fair reasonable price.

    Thanks for considering us!

Texas .... we celebrate both Texas Independence Day as well as US Independence Day

Texas is so big that we have interstate freeway I-45 that starts and ends in Texas.

if you add performance and support components to your comparison matrix, @oplink is A++

  • In case when Lumen is broken, how much time will it take to re-route through Cogent?

  • Any plans to add HE GTT ?

  • yabs?
Are they dedicated or fair share?

Quick, under 10s. We are planning to make a major core router upgrade shortly to offer BGP to clients as well maybe later this year.

None at this time. I wish HE.net was in the building.

Ah yes! VPS vs VDS! The truth shall set all free!
    Oplink.net is awesome!
Both VPS and VDS are high performant. I did test the VPS and the yabs and gb6 are good.

I attest that oplink.net is high performant compute that is not overcommited, high quality network, and quality support that really cares and responds swiftly.

By the way, I get that LET members always wants $1 to $4 VPS. However, you realize what you get with **most ** below $5 is rate limited and overloaded hypervisors with 1:5 to 1:10 ratio or higher "fair share" resource allocations. If you don't need compute, and just need cheap VPN VPS, fine, but it's no good for real life VPS website hosting with any significant traffic.

If you look for what the cost of 1 ipv4 today, you will see that at $5 the provider is paying for the 1 ipv4 more than anything else.

    Ref: https://ipv4.global/blog/ipv4-address-prices/

Only providers that outright own ipv4 subnets for quite some time can take the hit at <= $4 VPS and only if they overload their hypervisor hosts to make a profit which for any mission critical hosting will make you choose to upgrade anyway and that is how they recover the loss. Otherwise the provider is taking losses to provide that, and how sustainable is that?

Just food for thought. There will be pants dropping and racing to the bottom of the barrel to sell VPS for < 50 cent eventually. You will see once ipv4 is eventually deprecated (in years still to come if ever). But 50 cent VPS will be so under performing like $1-$3 VPS now and worse.

Thanks Ryan @oplink for the great offers!

This thread is old/expired I just want to point that out so there is no confusion. We may have some new sales/deal when 9900x rolls out in 1-2weeks.

Yah, we hardly bug people about resource abuse unless they are hammer or sometime people try to mine coin etc.

The biggest thing about Ryzen is keeping temps stable. We started water cooling our 7950x nodes. All future 9900x nodes will be 100% water cooled.

No need to race to <1/month VPS here. Fair prices & a quality service w/ great support is our focus.

    Thanks
    -Ryan
