Looking for low-end VPS 8GB RAM
Looking for a VPS for my friends and I to play minecraft on, hopefully something under $5/mo if possible.
Needs 8gb of RAM and enough bandwith to host a game server on (don't estimate more than 6 people will get on)
Prefer somewhere in us-east, us-central works too though or anything of the like.
Let me know if y'all have any offers!

For a minecraft server you're probably looking for good single core performance, so your budget is a little bit rough. If you could work out with 4GB then there are some good options.
@AlbaHost for example is within your budget if you pay a year upfront for 4GB and a good Ryzen dedicated core. They're in EU though, so far away from you. link
@kuroit is running a flash sale in their Ashburn location for 4 vCore (dunno which CPU, so you should ask them up front, but I assume standard Xeon server CPUs which are not good for MC servers, at least most of them) and 8GB within your budget if paid for a year up front. affiliated link | non-affiliated
@crunchbits has a customizable VPS and you can easily get a 1 core 8GB VPS within your yearly budget, but you can either get in a Xeon node or EPYC node. Their servers are in the US so good latency. link
Do keep in mind providers that don't have dedicated CPUs do usually have some sort of FUP, and MC servers use a lot of CPU, so you must be careful.
Check @LittleCreek here:

8gb RAM for $3.50/mo
Oracle Cloud Free Tier is very popular for this.
Linveo has one too. 8GB RAM for $4 with the coupon.

Hi,
I can offer our Node 8GB G2 priced at 5€ per month.
Including /56 IPv6 + 1 IPv4
Hosted in Frankfurt and includes DDos Protection as well
hes searching for a server based in the us
same for you
why nobody reads the full text
You didn't read it.
You would need Ryzen or EYPC based VPS with GB6 single core score of 1500+
and
at least 2x vCores
in addition, provider should allow average 40-50% CPU utilization. So, you may be better off with VDS
Now, after things finalized about what you need, think of budget
OP is looking for us based VPS, so unless you are talking about Frankfort city , the capital city of US state of Kentucky, this offer is not suitable.
oh then this will fit

I have x2 of this VPS plans and they're good. I didn't mention this b4 because it initially offered only 2vcore but I totally forgot that they let you upgrade the vcore
have you checked cpu vCore utilization permitted?
It won't work for op use case.
Why won't it work for op case? He said only 6 players max will play, the plan fits perfect for him, just that he'd need to get another vcore or 2 if its going to be survival due to chunk generation and it'll be fine then. Minecraft doesn't take much for such a small player count.
Also there doesn't seem to be any mention of it on any of their policies so I think its fine even if the op uses 100% of the allocated vcore. However Minecraft does not do that, as the op said max 6 players so at best it'll be sitting on 60-70% if only using 2vcores and the same goes with 3vcores and 4vcores. if you see it mentioned anywhere on aquatis policies do let me know.
$4 per month and 4 vCores can be used at 60-70% level ….
@Aquatis_Joseph does it sound ok to you?
