I'm really happy with RackNerd's support; it's incredibly fast!
The service is good, and I would rate it 9 out of 10. However, there was a sudden outage of MySQL and cPanel. I have used their reseller, shared hosting, and VPS hosting, and in my experience, I have encountered cPanel issues in shared or reseller hosting.

My reseller account hardly any downtime, only once change of IP if I recalled correctly.

It's an amazing deal.
I've been using their shared hosting since 2021 black friday, hetrixtools since then shows uptime of 99.9820%.
Never had to contact them for downtime. Their process limits are very good. What I also like is that they provide 30 day backups, which I used many times, many other shared hosts charge me more for backups than what I'm paying here for everything.
racknerd somehow has a story of its own... to be found here in the forum.
i have an individual cpanel hosting package (in germany) from RN and it works great. if there was something to clarify with the support, it was usually super fast and very solution-oriented. racknerd can be recommended.
4 years with them. Really good and fast support. Just 5 minutes to get reply from their supports

For servers, their AMS location is absolutely rock solid.

Support is very quick, and they provide a solution. The only downside I see for my own use is their lack of IPv6 at many locations.
They charge VAT to EU customers. I'm not sure how that works with them being a US company.

We acknowledge this - though, to be fair, the demand for IPv6 is quite low. I do agree we could improve in this area.

I haven't been using them as long as others here but have had nothing but a positive experience with them. Had some discussions presale and couldn't have been happier with the response. I haven't had to deal with support, hopefully I don't, but based on what others say if I do I've got every confidence I'll get a quick response and resolution.
Only two negatives for me;
1. Shipping of their merch is free in the US but I'm not in the US.
2. I don't need to buy more services from them yet. You can be sure as soon as I need another server they'll be my first choice though.
We've had a server with them for about 4 years and absolutely no issues. Every week our Hetrix report shows 100% uptime. Highly recommend.

Hi @Rockster -- refreshing to hear when customers are enjoying our service and support! I also agree that IPv6 would be nice to have in all locations.
As for VAT, this all depends on which payment gateway you selected upon checkout - for example Stripe (credit cards), Crypto, and such wouldn't apply VAT.
We utilize FastSpring, which is a Merchant of Record. FastSpring is responsible for collecting, filing, and remitting taxes for sales through its platform. Depending on your country, sales tax/VAT may be applicable at times. FastSpring calculates taxes in real time based on customers’ locations. FastSpring automatically applies these taxes at checkout, as required by local regulations in the customer’s country.
If/when taxes are applied, this is fully transparent and the amount is made aware to you before actually completing the payment/check out process.
I should also point out, not all countries or locations have VAT applied (only some). A breakdown of the regions can be found in the FastSpring documentation for those curious. Also if by chance you're exempt from these taxes, FastSpring can refund these to you.
As a heads up - we do support a variety of other payment methods that are not processed through FastSpring as well, you can choose your desired payment method on your RackNerd invoice, there should be a drop-down on the right hand side to switch between different payment options.
