Of course, given the asking price ($10 per month) and the 1G unlimited ports, there shouldn't be any complaints here.

  • Can't say how good their service is, but here's the experience I had with their support:

    • placed an order for 1TB storage on the weekend
    • account was provisioned on Monday, and I received host, username and password
    • tried to copy a file from my machine to the storage using scp, and it looked like it didn't work (no error, command just timed out)
    • submitted a ticket and asked for a few usage examples or a tutorial, as their website had none in the "knowledgebase"
    • the answer was... ballistic:

"We are not creating a tutorial for you, no"
"It's a Linux shell, Google if you don't know how to use it"
"This is a jailed shell, not a VPS"
"Your home directory is your mounted space"
"If you don't like it I can refund you"
    etc...

    • I replied that the answers above show quite an attitude towards a paying customer
    • also pointed out when I did log in via ssh, there was no /home
    • pointed out other providers work differently (eg rsync.net, etc) hence why I needed some directions
    • again:

"that's because you are already inside your home, it's chrooted"
"if you want us to figure out why scp is not working, we need to reset your password"
"at this point it's not worth $2 / month, I will refund you"

    • refund received 2 minutes later

I believe the support responded in kind for the service they are advertising and offering. If you expect handholding for an unmanaged service clearly this is not the right provider for you.

Feedback is, we asked you two days ago if you would allow us to reset your user password so we could test SCP, very clear and simple request, testing SCP on your newly created user to make sure it wasn't us. SCP works for all other customers on that server, means its your PC coming in or the command you're running.

You never answered that request, could of solved the issue quickly verifying it was your command or incoming connection. Then proceeded to ask us for tutorials on how to use linux shell and what commands you could run in a linux shell environment.

No, we are not a tutorials site, if you don't know how to use a linux shell we will not help you there. In your home directory, the one you are presented with once logged in, is a bin folder, simply CDing into that folder and LSing to see what binaries are available would of answered that question easily.

For $2 a month its not worth the 2 back and forth tickets just to look at an SCP command during your trial when you wouldn't allow us to test in your user directly after asking, when you're obviously at 1TB just testing the service and if you don't like it will cancel, 50/50 shot you might not last another month.

So yeah, at my recommendation my tech just offered you a refund after seeing you weren't storing anything in the space as of yet, immediately refunded your money and canceled the service for you so you could find a more suitable business that fits your needs (if you had data stored he would of waited for your response to cancel or pull data out). No point in beating around the bush. Two days of service, two tickets, and more than 4 responses per ticket to get to this point, not worth it to us.

We didn't fuss, cause problems, but refunded you and closed the account.

My feedback to your feedback is:
    - request for password reset came in yesterday (NOT 2 days ago)
    - couldn't have been the incoming connection, as I was able to login to the shell
    - tall assumption on both you and your tech that I NEED a Linux shell tutorial. I just wanted some examples on how to access your service as storage (which is what I purchased), NOT on how to find my way around the Linux shell. As mentioned, I used other services and they worked differently, so naturally I asked how does yours work
    - again big assumption I was going to cancel after testing, but you do you

I have an account at MxRoute and even his no-frills, no-BS, soup-nazi-like service provides good enough instructions that I didn't need to open tickets to resolve
