Best way to monetize parked domains?

I have a few unused domains laying around, that I have either used for past projects, or hope to use in the future. What is the best way to monetize them? I don't want to lose total control of them to do this, some have email and subdomains hosted off of them.

Just setup a landing page with Google Ads?

I'm sure I'll need to be corrected on the proper usage of them in that sense. I know GoDaddy does it to domains that are parked (unless they no longer do).

@klpowell try to syndicate some rss content between domains- That's just a start, this is a real science. Lots of apps/ progs out there to help.

It depends on what the domains are, but I'd probably try and put something relevant to that on them and use google ad sense or something on them
