Over the past few years, I've tried quite a few different budget VPS providers. This year in particular, I've encountered issues with several of them, including Host the Best and Aquatis.

There are some good options on LowEndTalk (LET). CrunchBits, for instance, is decent (although they occasionally have some speed issues) and offered some awesome yearly deals earlier this year.

However, one provider that seems to fly under the radar for most people is ShiftHosting. They deserve more attention, and here's why:

Competitive Pricing: ShiftHosting offers VPSes in several US datacenters for just $1 per GB. While they don't run promos as often as other providers, their base pricing is super competitive.

Reliability: I've been running two VMs with them for almost 8 months now, and I haven't experienced more than 10 minutes of downtime during that entire period.
Responsive Support: Their support team is quick to respond to queries and issues.
Solid Performance: The VPSes they provide are robust and perform well.
User-Friendly Control Panel: I really love their control panel - it's intuitive and easy to use.

I figured I should share this positive experience, as most of my posts here tend to be complaints about subpar providers. ShiftHosting really deserves a shoutout for their quality service.

And for those who are curious , i hammer my VMs my VMs are hosting multiple sites/apps via caprover Just recently had to upgrade one of my 4 GB VMs to 8 GB because i outgrew it and was maxing our my memory.

If you're in the market for a budget VPS that doesn't compromise on quality, I'd recommend giving ShiftHosting a try.

i just upgraded the vm from 4gb to 8gb, and yeah i wrote a review then had chatgpt format it/ clean it up.

These guys have been solid for me for almost a year and deserved a review . My oldest invoice from them is from september 23 ', i have nothing to gain here.

I’ll have our team investigate the issue. The server maintained 99% uptime, and we haven’t received any reports of downtime, but I’ll ask them to check it out just to be sure.
