Be cautious when purchasing Cloudcone's VPS products. high packet loss rate
The IP address assigned in cloudcone cannot be used. The delay test packet loss rate is very high and cannot be used at all. I have submitted a work order for more than ten days. The customer service keeps saying that the TCP connection test is successful, so everything should be fine. But how can a latency test showing a packet loss rate of 20%-40% be considered normal?
I have already said that I am willing to pay to change my IP address, but customer service still won’t allow it.
Be cautious when purchasing Cloudcone's VPS products. high packet loss rate, with a packet loss rate exceeding 20%, making it practically unusable. Additionally, the customer support is dismissive, and their technical expertise is questionable.

The professionalism of the customer support staff is also questionable. It was clearly an IP address issue, and simply switching to a normal, functional IP would resolve the problem. I was even willing to pay for an IP change. However, the support staff kept insisting on asking for the root password, claiming that as long as the SSH port could connect normally, everything was fine. They didn't even check the packet loss rate.
They could also be just limiting ICMP packets in their firewall
That's not the case at all. I also have other VPSs from this provider, and after testing their IP addresses, there was basically no packet loss. Moreover, the network speed of the VPS I mentioned is also very slow.
Is this network speed considered normal? The packet loss rate is as high as 20% or more. Customer service believes that as long as SSH port 22 is connected, it is normal. I am very doubtful about the professional level of Cloudcone staff.
As @BasToTheMax said, it could also be firewall.
May be share some MTR here from some of the locations.
Maybe people with issues should open a support ticket and wait for the staff to reply. Sharing a root password is not something to be concerned about, since one could change it after support intervention is complete.
Personally I have a simple VPS with Cloudcone in Los Angeles for 4 years and with no issues so far. Here is a benchmark:
@Cloudcone
Wait,IPv4 download speed is 500Mbps?If I remember correctly,it should be 1Gbps @Cloudcone
It is at 1Gbps. @default could you PM me your server IP, i could have a look at the Uplink rate set on your VM.
We just had a scheduled maintenance (https://status.cloudcone.com/incidents/221768) this also impacted the network. Could you share your ticket id please?
I don't think it's an issue with the firewall, because I'm experiencing significant network problems even when performing CURL operations on the server.
Starting this year, their VPS reputation began to decline
The network packet loss rate has been greater than 20% since ten days ago.
Submitted a work order, but your customer service staff said that it is normal if the TCP SSH22 port can be connected, and turned a blind eye to the packet loss rate greater than 20%.
Update to my previous benchmark. My gigabit problem was solved by Cloudcone.
