Looking for Europe VPS with IPv6
Hi there folks. I'm looking for any VPS's around France (although it can be any country around Europe really) that have the following:
An IPv6 subnet
- This MUST allow setting individual addresses on the server itself, via smart-ipv6-rotator.
Unlimited bandwidth
- If it's limited, this may be fine, but it'll need to be changed out overtime as I see how much traffic it uses.
4GB ram minimum, preferably 6GB
- 60GB storage minimum, preferably 100GB
- 2 vCPU minimum, preferably 4
This server will be used to host Invidious, along with several other services found here (hence why IPv6 and arbitrary address allocation is a requirement.) This will involve the IPv4 address of the server getting blocked by YouTube - although with Google upping their game on blocks, IMO this is acceptable and to be expected with any server software interacting with YT services. (It should also be noted that Invidious team and a few others have been hard at work on a patch to the current block, which would then be implemented in various other software such as yt-dlp. So the block isn't even going to stay a block, just needs the appropriate software once it's ready.)

Hi @Calin - You posted so fast so I do have to ask, does it actually allow arbitrary IPv6 address allocation on the server? If so, I'll take a crack at your offer.
(Also, just as a note, I'm not looking for a seedbox, lol. Frontends are 100% legal.)
Hello, we offer routed IPv6 /64 and /56
Looks good but unfortunately 16TB traffic is too low (current traffic is roughly 8TB a week.)
How much is your expected 95th percentile? Bandwidth can be modified
If it can be modified, 25-30TB monthly should do the trick
>
Hello yes , no problem , we possible give you more /64 etc... if don t work any thing about this IPv6 we give you refund
Regards
I'm sorry, maybe this is just a misunderstanding, but I'm not asking for more subnets - I'm asking to have a full IPv6 prefix, and a server that allows you to set an address in said prefix (Not through a control panel or only a single IPv6 address.) If the server does not allow you to do that, then simply put, it's not suitable for the use case.

Hmmm , unfortunately I'm very benginer at IPv6 , but write me to PM what operating system you want and it's possible give you a free test to check , because don t know a answer for this question
Regards
You mean a routed IPv6?
I'll post it here in case other hosters want to test:
It's Ubuntu 22.04. The software I'm using is smart-ipv6-rotator. Dependencies are requests and pyroute2 (
sudo apt install python3-requests python3-pyroute2
) To use:sudo python smart-ipv6-rotator.py --ipv6range=SUBNETHERE/64
Yes, sorry I don't know the full terminology myself.
I think he wants to be able to assign any ipv6 address, not necessarily what is assigned to him by the host.
^^ Yes. Without it, I can't switch out IPv6 addresses to prevent blocks.
>
Yeah sorry , more better give you a free test on PM and check yourself
Regards
Alright, we're going for an offer sent over PMs by @Weredime. Thank you to everyone that sent their offers in.
it works on our vps , I have tested it
@RoyaleHosting
@angstrom deals warning to @Weredime for PMing offer without provider tag.
Already have Royale for their dedi, unfortunately they don't have IPv6 for VPS.
Speaking of which, Weredime is asking to be contacted over Discord to order and is subsequently ignoring my friend request. So I'm probably gonna be taking more offers (unless he actually responds.)
Discord children …
In general, you should be very cautious about a user who sends you a PM with an offer if that user doesn't have a Host Rep tag or a Patron Provider tag. (Not to mention that such behavior breaks our rules!)
I've issued a warning to the user in question
Gotcha, did not realize he didn't have the tag at first. Not to mention he doesn't seem to have a site at all and is doing deals over chat platforms? (And is subsequently ghosting me? I mean it's late in NL right now but I contacted him 5 minutes after he asked...) @tentor probably gonna be taking you up on your offer in a bit.
Feel free to reach me in DM once you decided with whom you'll go

They do, I have a VM with them and have IPv6. Maybe it's changed since you last tried as I only recently got my VM.
Beware of summer hosts.
Yes, it's called routed IPv6. These days there are still some providers not routing the whole v6 prefix to customers. It's ridiculous that there was one provider even asked me to add my desired IPv6 address one by one on their panel.
@ggtyler
Better to go with STARS here (@tentor @Calin @alexhost ...) instead of random people in discord.
Hi, thanks everyone again, but I already bought a server from @tentor. I'm not getting a second one, so please don't send any more offers. (Wish I could update OP but there doesn't seem to be an option.)
Hmm, do you mean routed? Cause I was looking for a VPS back in mid March and Stan (their CEO) told me directly they only do one address. Not that it matters though, like I said before, I already bought a server and am setting it up
@ggtyler
I think you need a /48 ( or larger like /39 ) that can be split in smaller /64 ( a /48 is 65536 /64 to be exact ). that way you can rotate thru sub-nets.
If you-tube block's a sub-net, in IPV6 it will block the whole /64.
I have little knowledge of the metrics behind YT policy, but by reading your request, I think that this is what you need ipv6 wise.
If I am wrong, feel free to correct me, Cheers.
