*) Unlimited traffic still has fair use and abusive use limitation, but for all practical purposes it is unlimited. The fair usage limitation is set to 100TB of traffic, which will require roughly ~308Mbps average bandwidth usage over the course of a month.

Stock Clearance; Only 1 more server is pending to be added to this pool of servers anymore, it will be added in nearby days as it finishes last step of QA (All drives full read, and array sync).
Once this clearance is over we will probably start consolidating the oldest servers if any open inventory remains and end the sales for this series shortly after.

I got one too but seems like the hard disks are already so hammered and aren't cached in anyway. Barely going over 30-40 Mbps

When it's this cheap, you can't complain with the amount of storage you are getting. I personally would rather go for one of those miniservers from PulsedMedia.

these prices are not cheap at all. in fact they’re laughable

$1.36 at best is silly given how shit the performance is

  • Just be careful with this. Reoccurring pricing means nothing with Pulsemedia. They will increase prices and say that it is due to increase in energy costs or whatever excuse they feel like.

Because bandwidth is free, naturally. ;)

Energy Crisis was no joke. The alternative would have been to shutdown all services without refund, even if prepaid. Maybe that would've been better than renewal price being increased?

Our customers seem to appreciate the increase in pricing rather.

Yea the miniservers are really awesome indeed, and can't beat having dedicated NVMe with any HDD setup :)

A lot of people use the miniservers, then rclone cache mounts one of our storage boxes, get the best of both worlds.

Anyone having performance issues, you can request reprovisioning.
However, please keep in mind that A LOT of new users were added today, almost all of which are trying to use everything they can at once. That impacts performance.

Yeah I bet, there are lot of people running disk speed tests at once to post on here. :D

idk who said bandwidth was free but it's your decision to advertise "Unlimited Traffic*"

the shit disk i/o is definitely because of bandwidth and not because you want to overcommit users jajajaa

    Hey @PulsedMedia

I got myself a nice seedbox 1 year ago and overall I've been happy with the service. Now I'd like to upgrade to the 2TB offer. Is it possible to upgrade the current server instead of transferring cause I did some custom settings and it is gonna be a pain in the ass to setup everything from scratch :D

I have the impression that it's terrible!

    Ratifying...

I contacted support, explained the case of slow disk performance and they reprovisioned my M1000 XL service to a new node.

It's still not perfect, but it's much better than the previous node.

    Now I'm fervently testing it!

@PulsedMedia sorry to ping...is there a way to change web access password?

Under the ".lighttpd" directory, there is ".htpasswd". Maybe you could change it here.

OK, I finally got the mini seedbox, have been thinking about it for a few years (yes, I love to procrastinate). Missed a nice BF 13.37 EUR for the first year, survived Finnish peak electrikcity prices and constant fud re poor storage performance and high prices. Would like to have an extra backup location somewhere in the wild where bears, foxes and Santa Clause live in a snow kingdom. This will help to keep your servers cold and my backup safe. I do enjoy plenty of hosted backup services like borg, rclone, syncthing, resilio, rtorrent to name a few. I am also enjoying a low latency and fast speed. Hard drives work on a slower side of spectrum but considering the price and other bits named above, I am leaning towards saying this is a good offer. Hope not to be disappointed.

Here's the story of a real experience, it might be good, it might be bad... At first, I thought I made a great deal, I wanted a Seedbox to keep my "businesses" going, some are good, some not so much... So I started using it, testing it, and began to dislike it. But then I thought, "I'll give it another chance, why not?" And then I was impressed, the unexpected happened... Because finally, PULSED MEDIA delivered what it promised! A very good service, a better price, and the cost? There's nothing like it!

Here I went, trying to rhyme my story with you so far LOL!

I got a torrent seedbox because my ISP was treating my downloads like a joke, so I decided to play the punchline by grabbing entire seasons of TV faster than I can finish a snack. Plus, now I can seed like a torrenting ninja without my internet connection breaking a sweat!

How's the I/O performance compared to C1V scammer VPS?

  • Is there a testing IP

  • Any discounts for the Storage Boxes? Just to mix them together with the Box?

I used to use root-server for torrent and media server purposes. This is my first time purchasing a seedbox service. When I first saw the offer from PulsedMedia, I was skeptical. Fortunately, I noticed a free one-month trial option on the M1000 XL purchase page, so I tested the disk IO and network speed before deciding to go for the M1000 XL. After using it for a while, what really excited me was that the seedbox supports Docker and SSH access, along with a generous 100TB upload bandwidth limit. Most seedbox or root-server providers have very limited bandwidth(about 50T including inbound and outbound), and pulsedmedia impressed me a lot. With ample bandwidth, large storage capacity, and sufficient performance makes this an excellent deal.

By the way, the qBittorrent can by upgraded to 4.6.5 using the following step. (Using the qbittorrent-nox v4.6.5 binary)
