Im looking for a cheap storage vps with ideally 2-4TB HDD Storage, 4 Cores, 6GB Ram, 40GB SSD (OS) also a Europe location and multi Gigabit connectivity unmetred. I also need to be able to deploy as soon as possible.

I have been using pretty aggressively 10 TB storage VPS and it has been excellent performance. So whenever anyone mentions storage VPS, @host_c is #1 on my recommended list.

I would definitely go against ZFS on our services, use XFS.
We use HW Raid for all our addon-storeges, running ZFS over it is pretty risky ( by ZFS book )
We did not encounter any data loss.
There have been rare/few cases the after the boot the addon drive was missing, but all of them were due to the fact that the addon-drive was mounted as /dev/sdb in fstab and not by UUID, UUID is the correct way.
Other than this, no problems were signaled by our customers. ( not even by those that encrypted the drive in manual installation )

Yes.
We always recommend a backup before of essential data, but I can confirm you that all the storage upgrades we done so far were with 0 loss when increasing the drive on a later date.

I personally recommend to get what you need now, and scale up afterwards. Hit a ticket up that you need some extras and we can make that happen.
