How can I limit the disk space of a Docker container on an openVZ-based VPS ?

tzchztzchz Member

While usually using KVM servers and the devicemapper option to limit a Docker container´s disk space, I found it does not seem to work on an openVZ-based one, which might be due to the limitation of OVZ.
Are there any alternative ways for this? Thanks for replying!

If you have root access at host machine, you can enable filesystem quotas or mount loop device (file of requested size) to openvz container, and then limit size of directory with docker container, or mount loop device to that directory.
