cPanel License

BSABSA Member

Hello fellow LET’ers,

I have a one-time cPanel license that was purchased back in 2005 when cPanel sold one-time licenses. These are rare licenses that have been discontinued however cPanel has continued to support existing licenses for an optional fee of $200/year for software updates. These licenses have no restrictions and essentially they are unlimited accounts (so long as your server can handle it).

I am in the process of moving my shared hosting accounts to 20i, they are a UK based reseller account. The only reason for this is because they are a reputable company who I can trust won’t suddenly disappear and everything is managed by them so I don’t have to worry about anything.

So now that my one-time cPanel is no longer required, I’m open to suggestions on how it can be better utilised. If you’re interested, please DM me or leave your comments below.

Many thanks!

    Interested about price.

Hey, a few people showed an interest to buy the license. I’ve decided not to sell it however I’m open to other ideas. I could rent it to you for the cost of the premier tier on cPanel or another idea I quite like the sound of is letting someone use it 100% free on your own infrastructure but you pay $0.50 per account.

Are you paying the optional $200/year to keep it up to date with the current version?

That's not how free works my friend.

Your request is also more than list price. You can get a 100 seat license for ~$50/m anyway.
