What kind of crawler? I used to run the Gigablast search engine until the hard disks choked on the I/Os. Computationally it was efficient, quality of SERP was quite good (to me).
Also ran the YaCy crawler but... that was Java, it choked just for being Java. Half a million pages in the search index and it was dead.
Actually not, we only resell Cera's dedicated servers, and Cera does not have any discounts on transit.
