They prohibit it if you do it only for them (paypal) but we do it for all payment gateway we use, except for crypto as we use our own payment gateway.

The merchant fees are always passed to the customer, either that way or by increasing the price. We'd rather let people not pay them because they choose to pay with crypto than include them in the price for everyone.
