I watched this - very interesting - I wonder what Intel will do over it.
AMD the Best of.
Any providers here with 13/14th Gen CPUs want to comment?
Create some patch in operating systems.
I got an i9-13900 (not even the K version) at hetzner. Within a few weeks the server froze, it had to be reset with a manual power cycle.
I started monitoring the temps and it was consistently spiking over 90 degrees C. I tried underclocking it for a while, then I thought it was stupid that I was paying extra for this fast cpu just to have to underclock it. So I put the clocks back to normal and it didn't freeze or crash for the next few months I had the server strangely.
It's nice to know it wasn't just me though. Hetzner support blamed it on me of course.
@Shakib
I've had an i9-14900K for about a year...havent had any major issues other than the occasional crash while playing video games or running Handbrake with maximum cores, but it's Windows, so...
They are still manufacturing heaters. Good for people who want to stay warm in winters while gaming and hot in summers.
That’s not normal to me, I can’t even recall my latest crash because I was maxing my CPU. Only exception being bad overclocking. When I’m not playong around with that, basically never.
Edit: My desktop’s using a 5600.
We are doing fine for now. Thanks.
