Cloudstick.io - Low cost server management platform
in General
I love testing server management panels and I a use Enhance on a lot of my sites but am just testing this low-cost server management platform currently available on AppSumo - Cloudstick.io
For $87 you can host unlimited servers. The stack currently uses NGINX but OLS is on their roadmap and an API is already available.
I'm not affiliated with Cloudstick in any way.

I tried to upload images of the deal but failed - Tier 1 - 1 server $29. Tier 2 10 servers $58. Tier 3 Unlimited servers $87
AppSumo LifeTime Deals are always a gamble and also never heard of Cloudstick
@wa44io4 - I know they really are. I'd never heard of Cloudstick either, but the platform seems surprisingly mature and don't forget AppSumo's 'Best in Class 60 Day Refund Policy'
sure, at the same time don't forget you're on your own after 60 days while you're paying for lifetime.
Check out iBrave Hosting Dying
Sure - I know - have had my fingers burned more than once. I would never purchase a lifetime hosting deal as they are not sustainable. This is a server management panel that I wanted to test for it's API. As I mentioned I mainly use Enhance myself but thought it may be of interest as it is significantly cheaper than recent similar LTD offerings (XCloud/FlyWP for example)
This also requires pretty good infrastructure to run. So I don't believe what they're offering is sustainable at all.
For marketing it's okay but only if it's limited but i guess AppSumo wont allow you to sell just 5 pieces of LTD.
Lifetime deals does not work. Owners death, mood swings or just greed always fck everything.
XCloud.host is more mature. It has both Nginx and OLS stack.
For production and paid, i would only go with well known company like Runcloud, ServerPilot, Ploi, ServerAvatar, Enhance, etc.
For personal - hobbies, i can use something like Cloudpanel, Cyberpanel, FastPanel, aaPanel, Hestia, WordOps, Centminmod, etc
They seem to be in production from a while.
The owner of the platform is here on LET too:

@Aswin you wanna add some words
better look for alternative. lifetime = gambling
Not recommended, I tried it and it was pretty bad
Sometimes.
It really depends on the company..
If they only sell life-time deals, I wouldn't touch it, however life-time deals can be a good way for a company to raise quick capital if they need it.
Greed is the biggest factor though.. Of all the traits humans have, greed is the worst.
just bought the tier2 for 10 servers for a test run. will be good to see where these folks end up. started off a bit of shaky as only one of my appsumo code worked and the other says has already been used :S.
let me know how it goes. I'm considering buying Tier 2 too.
If you have to pick one with OLS, which one will you pick?
For semi managed (paid) i will go with ServerAvatar and XCloud.host
For self manage and free, nothing other than Cyberpanel.
can you please say why?
I am using cyberpanel for more than 3 years and i understand they need to make money, but many times it is annoying, i click on a menu and suddenly it goes their website for paid addons, also their addons cost much more than what i pay for my vps.
it really irked me a lot few times, then i found OLS itself has a panel too so i moved vps's to OLS with one-click install and setup sites... but it needs to do some custom actions like creating folders etc, which is fine while moving from cyberpanel to it, but after 6months or so...i forget those commands and need to refer docs.
so now i want to choose a panel again but i really want to restrict to OLS, i found two options cyberpanel and aapanel.
cloudpanel (with nginx) looked interesting looking at website, but it is not really great, they listed supported applications but everything we have to install manually.
with that logic, we can install any php based application...not just listed there
I guess there's no other free server management tool that supports ols.
aapanel supports OLS
As far as I know aapanel is not completely free... many modules are behind paywall.
But the panel itself is very good... I have used it for many sites back. Now I just use cloudpanel...
yes...that is true...but many core required features are free.
how are you liking cloudpanel?
Cloudpanel is superb... its simple, clean and minimal... it includes only nginx, no apache, no ols... It also comes preconfigured with varnish cache out of the box. Moreover their discord community is highly active! I have three websites running on a vps with cloudpanel from past 8 to 9 months... no problems till date.
One thing to note is - it mainly focuses on php applications, yes it supports others like nodejs and python but main focus is on php.
One more thing is you can run other docker containers with cloudpanel as reverse proxy....
oh thanks for the info,
did you face any security issues, i.e. vps being hacked etc.
They should get someone to spell check their site.
What if I want a free trail to walk on though?
No, cloudpanel developers follow all security practices and even if someone finds any loop, you can immediately report it on discord. They will patch it within a day or two.
Is there any free trial available?
So is this essentially an alternative to Ploi.io?
