No, I think it rather is @raindog308's - granted, not really funny - attempt to lighten up the thread a bit.
I think you know that I'm pro-Russia but, you see, this is not a political thread (and I welcome that because IMO LET already suffered more than enough from talking too much about politics).
Let us stay away from politics as best we can. The focus here should be on hosting and related tech. Plus, of course, on robots with tits or tentacles.
lmao, already tired fighting with their customer service, now i just curse them. i dont care anymore with this silly problem
i regret take recommendation anyone from here that use vps from any provider less than 2month
You certainly aren't the first to complain about their DDoS protection and from what i've seen i personally i also wouldn't want to deal with their support, which i feel has a bit of a high horse/don't care attitude. Avoro is prepaid though as far as i know, so moving shouldn't be that big of a deal, right? Just
ddyour disk to your new VM over ssh and adjust the network settings. Really shouldn't take more than maybe 20-30 minutes worst case. You should have used a different email when you signed up. Vultr, like many big and small service providers, uses a blacklist. If you ever complained (like you're doing now), your info will be on this blacklist.
Not just Vultr, but many small service providers (yes, they advertise on LET and LEB; I won't name them) use even worse tactics: Like taking your money and then deliberately disconnecting or power your server down.
I just wanted to explain that, if earlier it was sufficient for KYC to show a passport and not being from a country sanctioned by the UN Security Council, now this has become insufficient. Each provider has to check clients against additional lists more often, including lists of countries in which the provider is not registered. Sometimes, even under the threat of not only fines, but also criminal punishment. Of course, this complicates the provider's work and increases verification time. That's all I wanted to say.
