Hello,

I've been using a old but simple benchmark script for a long time

right now im not sure if its accurate any longer so im looking for.. something else that is more recent and working properly to benchmark my dedicated server.

Please do not link any benchmark services like serverbear.

Thank you!

  • UnixBench are a good benchmark script.
    then maybe ioping for IO results.

    And I'm using 'wget freevps.us/downloads/bench.sh -O - -o /dev/null|bash' for a fast check of connection speeds and IO.

    For a quick check of download/ping i use http://testfiles.pw which generates a script out of a selection of over 2000+ locations. The testfiles size is selectable (1/10/30 MB).

    Lol why do all your threads start with "please don't give me any of the best answers" ;)

    I like to have multiple options other than the ones that usually get named, is that such a bad thing? O;

  • You can benchmark your CPU by generating PI, or use

    openssl speed

    I think the network benchmark in my signature work fine.
