I use trustwallet, bitpay wallet
Can continue using electrum. To determine the optimal transaction fees use this site: https://mempool.space/
EDIT:
And unfortunately bitcoin, ethereum are not suitable for small/micro transactions. Often you would end up paying comparable amount in fees as the tx itself.
Thanks!
Can you recommend a wallet for small/micro transactions?
unstoppable
The wallet is not the issue. The point is bitcoin is not suitable for micro transactions no matter the wallet. There is bitcoin lightning but that is different than plain bitcoin tx.
For micro transactions better to use a crypto currency which has tiny fees like litecoin, bitcoin cash and solana. Ofcourse the other party need to accept it though.
my i m store in green wallet
my i m also using STRIKE but only for the free transaction fee (about 24 hour delay for free I think)
What wallet can you recommend for litecoin?
For litecoin there is electrum-ltc which is based on electrum. It hasn't been updated in a couple of years but works great.
Other wallets you can consider: coinomi, atomic wallet, exodus and more. Note that these are all desktop wallets and support a myriad of crypto currencies including ltc. Whichever wallet you choose ensure it is non-custodial that is holds the funds on your account and not on some exchange.
Wallet doesn't have anything to do with fees. Most wallet by default set fee which make the transaction included in the next block for sure & allow advance option where you can set your own fee. Before sending transaction check out mempool.space & set fees accordingly. At this moment the fee is around 8-10 sat/vB average for the last few blocks. If you spend 10 sat/vB(around $0.80+), transaction should confirm in the next 1–3 blocks. For regular small transaction purpose BTC & ETH is not really suitable anymore. It's better to use LTC, BTC cash, SOL or stable coin in low fee chain like SOL, Matic, Optimism, Arbitrum etc.
Metamask
That's not a Bitcoin wallet though. Metamask is based on Ethereum, while you can store BTC as wrapped BTC on other network, it doesn't worth the time to do it.
It does as some wallets pay your fees. STRIKE for example.
Does anyone have recommendations for mobile wallets?
I believe it's a custodial wallet then. Non-custodial wallet won't have this option.
Edit:
I just take a look at Strike. Yes, it's custodial & free withdrawal is not good option for payment.
Looks like they will make 1 batch transaction in every 24 hours which will include all flexible withdrawal request.
Exodus is pretty good. There's Trust Wallet, Coinbase wallet too.
blockchain
For LTC, I'm quite happy with Litewallet.
Exodus paired with a Trezor
@Hakim It’s definitely good, it just depends on what for
Exchange (such as Kraken) > STRIKE via Lightning > Your real wallet
That’s what I do
No tx fees
Personally, I only trust binance. An exchange with a much lower chance of disappearing than a wallet.
self custody >
using a CEX as a primary wallet is probably the most insane thing i see people do. i'd rather keep $200k in a browser extension
Proton Wallet is coming, in case you don't want to go the hw wallet route.
Surprised no one mentioned Blockchain.com
Been using them since 2014 ig when they were on the .info domain.
bluewallet
Nobody recommended coinbin yet?
Warning: It's not exactly "user friendly", but if you known what you're doing, you don't need any additional software, just the website, which does everything in JavaScript.
https://wasabiwallet.io
Exodus "just works" for my case xD
Coinomi
